The truth about Porn....

I realize allot of you gents an ladies watch own or may perform in adult videos. I have been around the industry since I was 18... long time :)

I returned years later as a very popular MILF and here is the GODs honest and sad truth about what you dont see , hear or can even imagine about the industry.

I returned one year ago, I have heard from the girls that they had been raped, forced to do aspects they do not do, some never return from a set. I have come accross countless with these experiences in only one year. I see these 18& 19 year old young ladies getting abused, degraded, not paid for sets and worse. Allot of them I willingly send work to AFTER I know they are a real person, pay is real and I come home alive.

I was on a set with an award winning AVN MIlf was working for 300.00 to feed her kids. This is sad and unfortunate and I do plan on changing it one step at a time. One video at a time. One performer at a time.

I am weeding out the wanna be pimp directors, agents, producers that force girls to do sexual favors to get work, under cut their pay because they have no other choice. They are not old enough to know the way the industry used to work and still does when it is on the up and up.

Sure... Im going to piss allot of people off,get allot of hate mail or what ever... but Ive done it in the fetish world and I am going to do it in the adult world.

The truth behind porn is very disturbing to me, so I plan to promote to good, weed out the bad and bury the ugliness!

There are some great angencies out there and some are listed on my site, allot I have not posted yet. If you need help finding out as a femalke performer you can call me, email, text me and I can tell you if I dont know I make a call for you and find out. I dont like to see women walk in blindly,Im truely willing to help anyone.

All I ask is ...pay it forward please...

I was just ruminating on this very topic today.

The funny thing is I came down on the opposite side. There are so many girls who come and go in porn. Yet I can't recall more than one popping off on any of the boards I read that focus on the industry. If they've moved on to another life, surely burning those bridges wouldn't pose a risk to their future.

I'm not saying that all girls in the industry are always bright-eyed and bushy-tailed about their occupation. But I am saying if it's as bad as you depict it there would certainly be a lot more chatter about it.

1)That they have gotten fake money orders
2) Bounced checks from Producers
3) Paid 6 months after the shoot
4) Been on the set for 8 hours (mostly just sitting around because other people are late) and making $1,000.
5) Have had other ladies (yes including AVN winners) under cut their rate and only charging $300 per scene.
6) Have gotten STD's sometimes as much as twice a year..(This is why when I book with a porn lady I always go to the AIM website to see their tests because it is public information)
7) Ladies will get a lot of calls in the beginning and than all of a sudden the phone stops ringing so they have to get a new agent..

This is why you have porn ladies simply escorting because it is much more money!

I realize allot of gals dont or cant take the stage and be seen as the 'porn star' but there is so much that needs changing to me it is worth the exposure.

Back when I discovered porn "cough-cough" years ago, it was being performed by a bunch of rebels who did it because they enjoyed it and I guess to a point they're desire to shock people.

But these days, from what I've seen myself and what I've learned from friends in the industry, both on the talent side and some of those behind the camera, it's a totally different ball-game.

I spend time on a few of the industry forums like ADT and XPT, and female talent in the industry are always referred to in degrading terms... "porn whores", "cum recepticles" and worse are common terms used to describe porn girls, and any flaw a girl has is pounced upon and becomes fodder for dozens of degrading and mean-spirited threads.

I think that the very fact that porn has become much more mainstream than it was even five years ago (case in point, porn talent like Sasha Grey being cast in the lead of a major mainstream film; something that not even Jenna Jameson was able to achieve in her day), has made a "career" in porn seem to be a viable job-choice for a lot of naive young girls who have a choice of waiting on table for minimum wage or making a thousand dollars or more for a day's work.

With so many women willing to fuck on camera, it's a buyer's market and many producers take full advantage of that fact.  If you won't do a double vaginal creampie while 10 other guys cum on your face, there's dozens of other women ready to take your place.  Supply (of talent) is at an all time high while demand for product is at an all time low - a formula that doesn't bode well for women in the business.

A naive girl I knew, when she first got into the business, was talked into flying half-way across the country (at her own expense) to shoot a scene with five guys.  As the end approached, she was "informed" that the guys were going to "finish" into a glass and that she would then have to drink and swallow the results.  when she balked, she was told that if she didn't comply, she wouldn't get paid.  Needless to say, she had little choice but to do what they asked.  She flew home and quit the business.

As much as I love porn, and as many girls I know who enjoy their time in it, let's face it:  It is now and has always been a sleezy business.  In the old days it was run by organized crime; the fact that today it's run by "legitmate" businessmen doesn't change the fact that it's sleezy.  In fact I think it was probably better off (at least for the talent) when it WAS run by O.C.

I wouldn't necessarily use that as an example of the bad things about porn.  I think most of us would be more than willing to earn $1000 to sit around for 8 hours of work!

When I got done typing that I was thinking "Damn if they did that everyday they would make over $300,000"..

But unfortunately 99% of the ladies do not get work 5 days a week..Maybe a good porn lady would get work an average of once a week..So that comes to about $50,000 a year..and you consider taxes now you are down to about $30,000..

THAT'S the problem.  Five years ago, the "name" girls worked as much as they wanted.  Four, five times a week and sometimes they'd go from one shoot to another.  Now even the big names are hurting.  A well known PS friend of mine told me she use to work 4x a week and now is lucky to work 4x a month.

I'm convinced that that's the very reason so many one-time UTR PSEs have come out from under the radar.

Yeah, that point was NOT one to bring up -- being paid $125/hr to "sit around" is not going to garner sympathy from anyone.  Bring a magazine.

Let me clarify that I DO sympathize on many of these points; just not this one.

Thank God that @sshole is in prison.

I don't wish evil on anyone; however, karma is a bitch -- maybe the stuff that he did to girls (like the infamous Rebeca Linares incident) is now being done to him by some 6'5" 260 lb. convict!

I find it sad that there are still attitudes that certain types of porn or the people who perform them or get turned on by them are somehow "gross". I know women who like to swallow but hate it on their skin. I know women who like to puke and gag (they say it's orgasmic) and others who think anal sex is the grossest thing on earth.

We all have our own tastes. If a person is forced (physically, via extortion or because of desperation) to do something he or she doesn't want to do then that's wrong, regardless of the sexual act.

And please... don't get me started on anyone who's secretly sneaking behind their marriage partner to get some nookie. Shall we start judging those people as well?

This conversation is similar to one we have in Black communities. "We can only have one type of Black image" some say, which I find ridiculous. If you want to rid porn of everything that's "offensive" then you'll end up with the Disney channel. There's room for everything.

I think Natasha is right. Finding good people to work with is the point. Paying everyone a fair rate w/o scamming, skimming or double dealing.

While I believe in free speech and I don't revel in the fact that Max is doing time, I do believe that his influence on porn hasn't helped the industry.  It's brought negative attention to the biz and has given the conservative right ammunition to group ALL porn into the same cubby hole.

As for "to each his own"; yes, to a degree. But  I don't care if it turns you on or not; someone shitting into another person's mouth IS gross, and while I don't believe in censorship, I don't want it easy to find.  Extreme sexual fetishes should be something that you need to seek out.  If I had a son and I caught him viewing porn I wouldn't get upset, but I would hope that the more violent and/or extreme stuff would be much harder for him to find through casual surfing.

And specifically referring to Max, he has a history of "incidents" where the women in his videos, if not exactly forced, were coerced into doing things they were not comfortable doing.

Gross or not, now you're talking about policing what people can or can't get their hands on. A rating system similar to what the MPAA uses? Forcing all adult sites to use the proposed xxx domain instead of a .com? Limiting product defined as obscene to where.. the back of the porn shop?

Those against porn, violence on TV, video games, foul language have an abundance of ammunition. Guys like Max come and go. They're against all of it anyway. To them, porn is porn and I doubt they'd let some of it stay around if they had the power to eliminate all of it. If Max is a bad guy then he should be in jail, but not because of what he portrayed, but because of his business practices.

I agree though that I don't think children should have access to anything of an adult nature. I wish "The Shining" was on at 10 pm instead of 10 am on a Sunday just when kiddies are wide awake. Parents need to do a better job of policing their kids, learning the technology (like how to use a computer) and communicating with other parents about these issues. Blocking kids from internet porn is pretty simple if everyone in a community/group cooperates.

I just feel that we need to separate our own personal likes/tastes from the bigger issues. If a person has a sexual fantasy that others consider degrading or disrepectful then who am I to say they are being degraded or disrespected?

Phew :-)

A special safety anf health complaint phone line has been sent uo for those in the adult film industry. The phone number is: (213) 237-9958.

If you want to know how to have action taken on a complaint or how to deal with the bureaucrazy; I can explain further on a different post.

Your censorship standards are absurd and based upon NOTHING scientific whatsoever.  The fact is that American society is actually becoming LESS criminally violent, even as our cultural entertainment has become more violent.

Who determines what is acceptable! I do believe that Pornography and Escorting [prostitution] is not acceptable by 70% of the US population. Escorting is against the law. So who says one form of Pornography is better or worse than other types. If most of US population had it there way, there would be no adult industry period, in any way, shape or from!

The big turmoil is the emergence of the internet.  The former business model of shooting a video, then making DVDs and selling them doesn't work anymore.  People would rip the first DVD produced and post clips on the net for a smaller fee.  Hard to stop that.

Also, viewers accustomed to the shorter 3 - 5 minute snippets don't want to watch the full 2 hr 20 min DVDs.

The problem now is a lack of a viable business model for porn.  It's going to take a lot of shake-up before a new model emerges.  Until then, everyone, producers, agents, talent, support staff, camera operators, web designers, et al, will feel the fall out.

Yeah, there are more talent coming into the industry.  I used to be able to name all the top stars by sight (say about 15 - 20 years ago).  Now, I can't name a single one.  They more or less look the same, and they're rotating in and out of the business so quickly that I can't keep track.

But it really is the business model.  Until a viable model exists to make a reasonable profit, people will be getting hit hard.

At the moment, it seems that the model is to go to more extremes and more specialized scenes.  Fisting, squirting, cum drinking.  Anyone seen the ass-smoothie website?  They make a fruit smoothie, get the girl to sit upside-down on her shoulders, pour in the smoothie in her butt.  She gets up, does a few jumping jacks, craps out the smoothie and drinks it.  So you see, the current attempt is to go towards more and more extreme and niche marketing, hoping to capture the viewers interested (even in a morbid car-accident-neck-crane) in such things.  Get them to sign up for the website for at least a month and then capture the money that way.

Eventually, that model will saturate as there's only so many things you can do with a human body short of chopping it into pieces or something (when might this occur?).  There's only so many holes to fill, so many objects to insert before they all look the same.

I'm not in the industry, so I don't know what the solution is.  But in a free market, someone is bound to strike the right balance and make a pretty profit, then all the other models will drop on the wayside.  But, as it is a free market, expect to see a lot of failures and lots of (business-related) carnage.  It's not going to be easy.

On the other hand, I think it's ripe for a smart person with an open mind to jump in and make a mark in this industry.

Out of curiosity. Who's on TER? How many people work in adult not fetish (in front of or behind camera) b/g, fucking, sucking ect. Have done 500 or more scenes in the past 4 years ( in the environment of the past 4 years)?
What are thoughts of this conversation? Is it worth the response?
Just wondering. No disrespect intended.

I'm glad Natasha made this post, but it probably won't be seen by the young women who need to see it.  How do you get the word out to the young women???  I'm glad Natasha is trying to protect the vulnerable.

Two quick thoughts:

1. SAG protects mainstream actors.  Is there a SAG equivalent for the adult industry?

2. Sure, the marketplace for all kinds of content determines what gets made, but humans find ways to get themselves "high" on things that make no sense.  Why do heroin?  Why gamble away all your money at the racetrack?  Why watch two women eating feces or stuff like that?  Doesn't make sense, but as long as there is an audience for it someone will make as much money as possible by selling heroin, breeding horses just for racing, and filming women doing degrading stuff.

I have no idea what the answer is to all this, but it should start by looking out for each other as Natasha is trying to do.
