Actually, its a month old and has been discussed here before.  In that month's time, I have not seen it picked up by any mainstream media.  Its worth noting that the story you linked to is actually the press release Demi issued through her website last month that was then posted here so while it is a bit of an odd story, at least to date, there does not really appear to be any real legs to the story, to date anyway.
