SANTA CLARITA, Calif. - Marilyn Chambers, star of such golden age classics as Behind the Green Door and Insatiable, was found dead Sunday in the mobile home where she had been living for the past several months. She was 57. Chambers was found by her daughter, McKenna. No cause of death is yet known, and an autopsy will be performed.

I am deeply sadden by the news of her death.  I'm sure I speak for most men on this board, in saying Marilyn really opened our eyes to her sexualtiy, and to the new age of Porn.

I am very sadden over this loss, my thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends.

Marilyn is what I consider a true STAR, she helped make the Porn Industry what it is today.

Unlike many of the so called stars of today,, the ones that companies shove down our throats to MAKE into stars.

She will be missed.....

I second what Kathy has said. As far as movies of that period are concerned "Behind the Green Door" starring Ms. Chambers was right up there with "Deep Throat." Both were ground breaking movies that forever changed the adult movie business. It is sad to see a pioneer pass away so young.

Marilyn was not only a legand but she was a very classy lady.

I always had such love and admiration for her.  She is the reason I and so many others got to do adult movies.

I remember reading the advice column Marilyn wrote, I think it was for Club but it might have been Penthouse. She helped me get through puberty back in the day. Rest in Peace, Marilyn.
