She will charge top dollar due to the fact she gets a cut. I suggest booking direct than using Pam, in my case she wanted to charge too dollar with me and the provider in question if you book direct was much cheaper. Personally I will not ever use Pam ever. I ended up booking direct in the end.

The previous poster is correct - booking direct will often be cheaper than going through Pam, or any agency for that matter.  The agency has to make money too.

Also, Pam generally asks for a deposit for all dates so that's money out of your pocket before you've even gotten to the door.

On the other hand, working with an agent like Pam will protect you somewhat from the flakes, and no shows - protection you don't get when you book direct.  

Pam is the best !!  Great selection of talent & reasonable rates.
There was one instance where Pam was actually lower priced than booking the talent directly. It was a rarity but it actually happens on occasion.  Do your homework.

I'd pay a little more to use Pam only if she promises to use the extra money to build a better website.

I have used her agency, everything went smoothly, and rates were slightly lower than she had listed on her site.
I would definitely recommend going thru her.
