Well, let me start by saying I have been in this hobby for over ten years and have NEVER given a deposit before. When I contacted Rachel directly she informed me that she requires all first time clients to do a $500 deposit. Now Rachel is one of my ATF's and I was really excited when I saw that she was available. I told her my reservations and said that I've never needed to give a deposit in the past and asked her if she would like to verify me by my reviews on here or by contacting any of the PS's I've seen in the past but she insisted that first timers with her needed to give a deposit. I agreed and sent the deposit VIA paypal and she confirmed that she received it right away and our date was set for last week while I was in Vegas. She asked if I had any clothing requests which I loved and I told her what I liked. She then said to touch base with her 2 days before the meeting to confirm. That was the last communication I had with her. She didn't respond to numerous emails trying to confirm our appointment and still hasn't responded to any emails asking for my deposit to be returned. Now keep in mind previously she responded to every email within an hour of me sending them. If she would have just contacted me and said she couldn't make it I would have been happy to reschedule.

What's the moral of the story?

1. Stick to your guns and don't give deposits.
2. If you want to see Rachel Starr know going in that she is dishonest and will screw you in whole other way than you had hoped for.

Oh yeah...and for all you guys that have been bashing the agencies lately. I can tell you, had I booked her through an agency as opposed to booking her direct this probably wouldn't have happened. She wouldn't want to jeopardize her relationship with the agency by doing something like this. I only hope that all of the agencies that are currently representing her see this post and take heed.

It blows me away how this happens over and over. We should give her the benifit of the doubt. But sure sonds like you got taken. Do these porn stars really think that if they do this kinda thing that it won't get out, on ter, or some other way. Like I said, just blows me away. The ones that do this must think that the "cash cow" will never run dry. Age alone, makes the cow start to dry up, but this behavior will make it dry alot quicker.......

I disagree on giving the provider the benefit of the doubt, and disagree that there's any lower risk on using an agency and surely the donation for a star of that level woulda been double or triple with an agency.

If ever i get cornered and think i gotta do a paypal deposit, here's an idea,,,,make the paypal purchase a merchanise purchase of a photo of you with the alleged "star", spell out that it's a %50 deposit or whatever. Star don't come to you, there's no picture, and the deposit is refunded
I've had great luck with paypal, and no doubt you can get a refund for your 500, anyway if u file a dispute, if me i would do it as im suggesting and i'd file a dispute.

I've never had a problem getting a refund from paypal. feel free to PM me, if u need more info.

She'll be someone else's ATF and they'll pay the deposit, too. This business depends on us guys to be impulsive and horny, and we seldom disappoint.

Since there are no guarantees, don't expect a refund or an apology.

Shame on Rachel. I hope she doesnt post here anymore.

BTW...My rule of thumb...No deposits...no exceptions.  It is a bad biz practice.

1) We need to stop boosting these girls egos and voting for them on freeones or whatever sites to make them more popular.

Any awards, recognition, will only boost their egos and in the end screw us all over

2) What does it say about a girls character if you book her thru an agency she doesnt take your money but if you book her directly she does...

Do you want to meet someone like that????

OUTRAGEOUS PRICES ANYWAY, NOT WORTH IT...TAKE FLIGHT TO SOUTH AMERICA, UK, COSTA RICA, SEE TONS MORE GIRLS AND SAVE A LOT MORE MONEY, AND PRETTIER GIRLS THAN MOST OF THESE PS!!!

LETS GET THE MARKET BACK ON THE CONSUMER SIDE, AND GET THESE RATES BACK DOWN TO THE 300 CLUB

this is unusually poor decision making.  I would like to think that there must be some reason for her actions specifically for this reason.  I had contacted her to see if she would book directly but she told me nope, had to book through her agent.

Hopefully she'll either respond to this thread or to you directly to explain and make this right.  Good luck in that respect....

Are you absolutely certain that it was actually Rachel Starr that you contacted? I am not a fan of the woman and I could honestly care less but she does have several reviews right here on TER. Most of them mention that she books through Pamela Peaks and requires a deposit.  All of the reviews are good and none mention any issues with no show or rip off.

As I said, I have no horse in this race but it wouldn't be the first time someone impersonated a porn star escort.

I sent her a message on TER using her account that she posts with all the time to try and confirm our appointment. I'd imagine if she never made the appointment in the first place she would have responded then and said she didn't know what I was talking about. I'm wide open to hearing anything she has to say.

The thing is: when I sent her a message on TER, she told me to book her through Pamela Peaks. I did, and everything worked out fine. Having booked Rachel that way, and meeting her successfully, I really think you got scammed by somebody else.

But you didn't book through PM correct?  Did you talk to her on the phone? Email? She probably gets hundreds of TER PM's a week and she may very well not check TER all that often.  I would not assume that she would respond to a PM that may have made no sense to her.

The bottom line is you are screwed either way and I agree with your initial post. Never send a deposit.

All of the the correspondences were via email. This is the page that the email address I used was connected to. The only reason I posted was to let you guys know what happened so it doesn't happen to anyone else. If it wasn't actually Rachel which is possible then I'd imagine she'll come forward and say as much. All though now she may just take that course because you guys have laid it out for her. We'll never know. I'm not that upset over the $500. As a member of this community I thought you guys should know what happened.

LOL, dude, I'm sorry you got ripped off but scamming a deposit is the oldest trick in the book.  She doesn't need us to lay out her story for her.

I hope you hear from her but, if she's decided to start ripping people off, you probably won't.

This website is managed/run by "Real Entertainment". I do not answer these emails or run this website at all. So again, get the word out, this guy "Real Entertainment" is bad news. I will talk to one of my attorneys to get this website shut down! All potential clients needs to understand that any websites that start with http://www.la-pornstar-escorts.com(insert name here) are run by him.

Maybe it was a scammer who posed as Rachael Starr.

Again just a guess and I'm not defending her if she did rip off the guy.  But there are a ton of scam artists who get very creative, as well as lost of people who steal photos, etc.  It's very easy to set up an email account with any name.

Guys when you are going stop letting your big head take over! You have to understand that most of these porn ladies the money only flows one way..And that is on their terms!

I understand $50 deposit..Maybe even a $100 but $500! No way because for one a lot of these ladies have a lot of drama in their lives..Especially the ones with kids..

Another thing most of these ladies in porn do not know how to escort or let's say the escort etiquette..

Your money is already spent!

D

It's a shame if this is true, since Rachel was someone I'd been considering seeing next trip Stateside. However, I would never consider sending a deposit first.

As has been mentioned  previously, I'm surprised too if she  has pulled a fast one since Rachel posts here regularly, and the bad press is bound to affect business. Short term gain, but long  term pain IMHO.

Perhaps there should be a set of commandments for the hobbyist. There are exceptions but dropping that much coin sight unseen with no contract isn't a good idea no matter what you're doing.

I hesitate to use the word "defend" since we only have half the story without the benefit of seeing the email trail. It's odd someone would advertise here and do something like that.

Believe me, I thought it was odd too, especially because of her presence on this board. That was one of the reasons I agreed to do the deposit.

Wasn't me. "Real Entertainment" (www.realentertainment.us)  agency in Los Angeles used to answer some of my ter inbox (they have my password, I have right now changed it). I used to work for them until I had fallout with owner, and it appears he's very vindictive as he's the only person that had access to my ter account. You need to go after him for the money. I want to know the name of the paypal address, I will have that account shut down if my name is involved. If he used a separate email address with my name in it (outside of ter) with you, I want to know the name of that email address please also so I can work on having that shut down also. I am not happy! I'm so sorry this has happened to you and I've now talked to numerous other talent that has previously worked (and had bad fallouts with) "Real Entertainment". The owner is totally bad news: doesn't pay the talent for their jobs, leaves them stranded, alot of shady shit going on. Avoid that agency please!!! Get the word out!!!  Who knows who else he's going to do this to (and I have a great reputation)!

gonna get interesting ! BTW...i believe you Rachel

Those of you that suspected it wasn't her were absolutely right. We had a long talk and it appears the owner of The real Entertainment Agency is responsible for the rip off. Look at Rachel's posts in this thread and you'll see that all of the sites that look like the one below are run by the same guy and we should all stay away from them. Rachel was very apologetic for the situation and feels terrible that they did this but we are both going to try and get those pages taken down.
Again, the page I booked through is below. I've seen a similar one for Renae Cruz and Rachel confirmed that she doesn't work with them anymore either. It sucks for both of us that these guys are out there taking advantage of people.

HDlover, please post the email and name of the paypal account that was used so everyone can take note not to ever use these! Knowledge is power... i will be in contact with my lawyer in the morning and if there is anything i can do to get these websites, emails, paypal accounts taken down i will! I'm furious at the thought that real entertainment thinks he can get away with this. I will contact every porn-star i can on his site and warn them about his shady behavior!!!! and i will tell every porn girlfriend of mine to not let him talk them into being represented by him!

Also, Mackenzee Pierce as of me talking to her last is not working with real entertainment, but he still has her pic up as if he does, so take note to that!

the stories just keep coming in of the mischief real entertainment has done to girls and clients! so if you all see any post involving real entertainment, please help me out and inform people not to work with them

I'm glad this got resolved. Rachel is a great gal, and I booked her through Pam Peaks. She would not run a scam like this, she has too much integrity. Go get this idiot sweetie.  Kisses
