Much like the voting electorate, the group of people in this lifestyle are all very different in their beliefs, attitudes, comfort levels, etc..Then there is a huge difference between people in the lifestyle who are married, and those who are single...IMO, much easier for a single person to engage in this lifestlye...

I'm not changing anything....There is no such thing as 100% risk free lifestyle...If you want that, you better stay locked in a room and never come out...When you get on a commericial flight, drive a car, ski, hike, etc. there is a risk involved...And you don't have to scale Mt. Everest to engage in dangerous climbing/hiking -A woman died recently while hiking near Bronson Caves in LA, which is a short, well defined trail...

I will continue to do the testing i do, & book the appts. i want....There is a better chance of getting killed in a car accident on the 101 on the way to AIM than getting hiv thru vaginal BB...I will never do anal, can't even watch movies that are that genre....

As i said were are different, personally I'm scared to death of heart disease as my father died of a heart attack 30 years ago...Even though i had an excellent echocardiogram, 110/80 BP, 135 cholesterol, and normal everything else related to heart health, CHD scares me.....

After this recent scare...which we cannot be released info about, which is BULLSHIT...I'm going to be calling it quits for a bit.  Just hit a bit too close to home for me.  Some of these girls will get down and dirty for the right price and while it's amazing that we can purchase such services...it's scary when thinking about the downfalls.  I've been around the block a couple times now and I'm ready to move on anyways...

Anyone with me or are you still going to party like it's 1999?  Either way...best of luck and play safe!

You are absolutely correct, Moose, there is nothing totally "risk free"

A good example is this week's reported fatality:

"A man out hiking in Olympic National Park, in Washington state, USA, has died after being gored by a mountain goat."  There had been no previously reported deaths by mountain goat goring, but if circumstances are set in a peculiar way, even the unlikely or unprecedented is possible.

And even staying at home, or locked in a room, has some risk involved.  A classic example is the midair plane collision years ago in Orange County that dropped debris on a house, killing the occupants.

As you say, all you can do is take the proper precautions, put everything in a risk/return analysis, then take your chances.

In the end, though, it does not make sense to let fear completely squash our joy of living.  As Bette Midler so accurately sang in The Rose:

"It's the heart afraid of breaking
that never learns to dance.
It's the dream afraid of waking
that never takes the chance.
It's the one who won't be taken,
who cannot seem to give,
and the soul afraid of dyin'
that never learns to live."

I did read about that goat attack...Hawaii has TONS of goats, well, Kauai island does, I've seen many on hikes...But they just stare at you & eventually go away..

My lifestyle is far far less risky than your typical male porn star...I have far less encounters, I will not do anal or creampies, and i don't touch drugs...I think i got scared of  drugs after the (you youngsters on this board won't remember this) the Len Bias death back in 1986 (i was in high school then)...He was the #1 pick in the NBA draft that year who died 2 days after being selected by the Celtics of a cocaine overdose...

this has happened periodically in the past, and the pattern never seems to change. The first incident I recall happened years ago, when one of the pornstars turned up positive. The pornstars that stayed on as providers did so with extreme caution. We're talking no bbbj, not even lfk in certain instances. I think it was only a matter of months before the fear eventually dissipated, then it was back to business as usual.

Personally? I would actually feel more secure interacting with pornstars than with other providers or strangers, simply because pornstars (most of them as far as I know) get tested regularly at a highly trusted facility. Since they work under a highly monitored system, we can usually count on being informed of any possible outbreak like we just. The porn industry may not be as tightly controlled as Nevada's brothels, but I still say it's pretty sound.

Not so with the non-pornstar providers. How do we know they get even tested or even care? Do agencies require it? As far as we know, there could be a higher rate of infection among them and we won't even know it. If you think about it, chances are that their rate is indeed higher, in which case I'd stick with pornstars! I'm willing to bet that if we knew the true rate of infection among all providers, hobbyists like you would have bailed long ago.

Sorry you guys have to go through this.  The risk is always there, scare or not.  I guess we can't forget that.  Just practice safe sex and get tested. As an adult actress I knew going in that was one of the risk for this profession. I have 18 plus years in the business have been tested every 30 days and I am clean.

Wrap it up and I'll take it.  lol
