Okay, I've been thinking about this.

This question is for hobbyist and providers alike.

How many of you have pets? Specifically dogs?
If you do, does it get in the way of your hobby activities?

Being a dog owner takes a special kind of person. It's akin to having a child and I'm just curious how many of you out there (hobbyist and providers) bring this sort of commitment into your lives.

and for some reason he understands my needs better than anyone!  He's patient, understanding and is always happy to see me!  I would never give him up for anything...even this "hobby".

The reason I posted it here was because I wanted to see comments on this from those that do PSE hobbying and get responses from PSEs
