Grant it, I'm not crazy about the idea, but I sent deposits for Shay Sights, & Dru Berrymore....Both were professional to deal with, & I had no problems......

I understand the need for deposits in some cases. What experiences have all of you had in regards to no shows after a deposit of $300-$2000 has been paid to paypal or cashiers check etc? I want to comply but not taken.

It's been said by many hobbyist who are experienced....DO NOT give a deposit to anyone. There are more than enough quality providers and porn stars who will not require a deposit for you to assure yourself a great time without the risk.
Guys, back me up here and convince this good fellow to think with his big head.

Always book direct and never ever give a deposit.

as always

HAPPY HUNTING

I know there are many ladies that it wouldn't be a problem with, but better to be safe than sorry.

I am not too comfortable with deposits either, but I did do it for Anna Malle with no problems at all.  She did not know me and I REALLY wanted to see her....all worked out perfectly....but I am still uncomfortable with it and I try to avoid deposits...for what it's worth.

There are some well known posters on this board who will tell you if a certain PS will honor your deposit.  Some PS have a good record and others do not.  JR Carrington comes to mind as having a reputation for accepting deposits but cancelling appointments and never giving refunds.

Bottom line... if you don't right about it, don't do it.

I'm not disagreeing, but a few years back I sent a deposit to Morgan A (non-porn star in L.A.) and very recently to Paola Rey.  No problems whatsoever.

Anyone that states "I don't ever give deposits" is missing out on seeing some amazing providers. But on the other hand, if you give a deposit without doing your homework and you get burned you only have yourself to blame. I given deposits more that a few times (10+) and never got burned, on a few occasions pay the entire donation in advance with only good times at the encounter.  Knowing a few PSs, I also understand the need for deposits, PS providers tend to stay at up scale hotels, when you are paying $1-2K for a session do you really want to see her in a dump.  Hotels like that in NYC can cost $300-500 a night plus airfare to visit a city.  If they get a bunch of no shows they could lose money.  Now I know all you militant "No Deposit Guys" say "well that price of doing business".  How many of you are in business to lose money? They are just protecting themselves.  And really, if you are prepared to drop $1-2K are you really crying in you milk over $100-200, be real.

Well said... There are a lot of PSEs out there who ask for deposits and have never screwed a client... Kathy Willets, Keisha, and Raylin come to mind, but there are many others.  They are among the best there are, and if you want to see them, you have to be willing to send a deposit, pure and simple.  To mindlessly chant the dogma "Never give a deposit" is absurd and the mark of an essentially lazy person who doesn't want to do any research.

It's like hiring a contractor... you hear tons of horror stories about people giving money to a builder who either does a shitty job or does half the work and then disappears... but you don't hear people screaming "Never give a contractor a deposit"... Why? Because you'd never get someone to do the work on spec.  Like any financial transaction where you are required to pre-pay part of all of the fee, you need to do your homework.  Do your due dilligence and you won't get burned.
