How about a little discretion?angry_smile

I just received the monthly newsletter from Photogirls.net (3 times actually) and when I looked at the top of the email what do you think I saw? My full name and email address along with 50+ other names and emails in their recipient list. As an escort agency you'd think they'd be sensitive to the privacy of the their clients. I honestly think it was probably a mistake and I sent them an email letting them know that this is "not cool".

This topic has come up before on the board about providers sending out mass emails promoting an upcoming tour without hiding the recipient list.

Thoughts?

Similar things have happened with me.  It's one of the reasons why there are some agencies I will not deal with...

It's so easy to hide the recipient list and an agency that doesn't take the second or two to do it, probably isn't going to take the time needed to make sure my encounter is a good one.

I'll happily take my money elsewhere, to someone who cares.

I agree 100%! I have never had it happen to me but when agencies or providers want to contact you, they should take all precautions to keep your information private. The BCC tool is your friend people.

I will never use an agency. Too many "indiscretions" for my taste...

some do a great job of keeping client info private and never contact clients unless they ask to be contacted. However, there are others that don't. And agencies aren't always to blame, sometimes independent providers slip up as well and forget to use BCC.

i've never had an agency do it because i don't deal with agencies, but i've had a few girls do it.  It's just plain stupid and totally irresponsible....you'd be 10o% in the right if you told them to take you off their mailing list.

which is why i don't use agencies

also, no pornstar i've seen knows my real name and i certainly plan to keep it that way

even TER doesn't know my name (the CC i used to sign up years ago belonged to a friend etc)

you gotta do what you gotta do

you mean you are not Yankee announcer and former outfielder Ken Singleton?

nope ... i'm also not the Stanford finance professor Ken Singleton

though if either of them were hobbying they'd take similar precautions i'm sure!

LOL

Luckily my name did not show up but I did see others and I was thinking the same thing..

And the thing is I have never even seen any of their girls!

D

Well... just got an email from someone who provides that has a list of emails that were not BCCed. My is the email I strictly use for this so it's not too much of a big deal. But as I look at the list, I see some emails that would be extremely easy for me to discover who these people are.

Not good ladies...
