I play golf (with a cart), and up until the fire used to bike about 50 miles a week at a pretty good pace (about 12 - 14 mph on a mountain bike). I still play golf but dealing with the aftermath of the fire had put the bike on the back burner... however, after this recent incident, I'm thinking about dusting the Cannondale off and getting back on board.
Sorry I haven't been posting or answering PM's. On Tuesday I collapsed and stopped breathing. Luckily my friend was with me and performed CPR and called 911...
Turns out my electrolytes were at life-threatening levels; my blood sugars and blood pressure were through the roof. It took them 5 days to get everything back in order. I returned home about 4 hours ago and am OK now, but it scared the shit out of me; time to seriously re-evalutate my life...
Oy vey man!
Take care and hope you get better man!
I'm glad you're OK enough to let us know you're OK. I would recommend that you start fucking older stars than the Barely Legal crowd, but then you'd probably wind up with Debi Diamond and, well, under the circumstances, I don't think that would be such a good idea.
Ed
You are so lucky that someone was there to help! Take care of yourself. The last year has been awful for you. Take care of yourself. Too many of us care about you.
hope you feel better eddie.
take it easy sir!!!!!!!!!!1111
I'm glad you pulled through. Take care of your health that is no joke and start doing light exercises when your at 100% to take care of your body.
but that's to many close calls. Your starting to have me worry. I'll be doing the same. Re-evaluate!
Eddie,
Take it easy man - Good luck
Eddie.....I want you walking 15 minutes four times a week. Add 10 minutes ea week until you get up to an hour a day......
You will lose 10 lbs before you know it. Then another 10 after that
Does he have bad knees, flat feet, hamstring issues? How about his back?
There are a lot of reasons why a lot of people don't do a lot of walking around aside from personal lethargy.

Actually, you'd have to triple the distance you bike per week in order to get any benefit out of it. Walking 50 miles per week would only get you to what people were doing on average prior to 1950. A healthy human being can outRACE almost any other animal over a long distance. A horse can gallop at 25-35mph but it must stop to eat after 5-10 miles. A human can run for 100 miles at 10-15mph without stopping to eat.
You can see why it's tough to lose weight simply by exercising more, right.
Eddie, you've got a hell of a good friend, there: to stay cool, know how to do CPR, remember to make the 911 call . . .
That's an unbelievable story. It kind of gives new meaning to the saying, 'Serious as a heart attack.'
Let's try not to do that again, any time soon![]()
I'll second, third, and fourth the advice and good will from everyone else who has responded: take care of yourself, get hooked up with the best available doctor, and please do what the doctor recommends. We haven't had nearly enough of the pleasure of your good company.
Have you given any thought to hosting your own realty TV show, based on your life? Can you imagine the ratings?
They'd be through the roof.
You take care, my friend. We're glad to have you back among the living!
Very best wishes,
U.
Hope you're feeling better Eddie. Take care of yourself. Only you can do it!
We will support you as you follow the Doctor's orders in changing some of you life activities
I'm so glad that you're back home, as the phone sex in ICU wasn't very private with the hospital cameras on you.
teehee
BTW, don't feel too bad for Eddie, as his hospital had a Room Service menu...seriously. I was sooo fucking jealous, since Vegas healthcare facilities suck. All joking aside, we are blessed that you are doing well.
As I told you, Eddie, thank God your friend was with you...as your "Guardian Angel Aunt" was watching over you, for sure.
So dear TER friends, because Eddie is still with us (Yayyy) get ready to help him celebrate, by wishing him a HAPPY BIRTHDAY on May 13th. ![]()
Love you always, TER friends and Eddie!!!
xoxo

Eddie,
Before starting any exercise/health/diet program, be sure to get an ok from your doc.
As my doc told me awhile back "Sir, Father Time is telling you it's later than you think."
Started hitting the gym, doing cardio and weights, started eating right (so long burgers, hello veggies), getting enough sleep and all that stuff they tell you to do -- guess what? It worked. Feeling and looking better than I ever have.
Now it's your turn.
Take care buddy!
Eddie I just received your PM, I am so sorry to hear that this has happened to you.
I will promise to call you this weekend. Love Kathy
I am so glad to hear you are okay and safe.
You have lots of friends here who cares about you and love you, including me.
Please take care of yourself and follow the doctors order.
Hugs & Kisses
