END OF MESSAGE

I'm going to make my annual pilgrimage to Vegas this year anyway, but I was wondering if anyone had a feel for the attendance among the PS community.

I normally go stag and see what unfolds, but if things look stark this year, I may actually have to bring a... gulp, date. I can't believe I used the "D" word.

No date!!!  You went stag last year, and look what happened.  LOL

But then again, I drank so much I felt like I closed down a bar that is open 24 hrs.  I guess it feels like that when you seen them bring more stock of what I was drinking....not once, but 2x.

There will be PLENTY of fun to be had out there, I have no doubt.  If not, I know where we can find a few Brazilian ladies to join us.  LOL

Cheers

2 PS have told me directly that they are not going and a lot of girls they know aren't making the trip either. Before, companies would pay to have the girls come and sign, but now, only the contract girls are getting their flights and hotels paid for the most part, so a lot of girls aren't going (unless you take them I guess).

It should be the slowest AVN ever, which could be good I guess since there will still be girls there with no company :).

But from what I've heard, a lot of girls are passing on AVN this year, they are opting to go to Exxxotica LA.

I meant Erotica LA and Not Exxxotica... my bad

The good news is that many will be willing to go if you provide travel and lodging (with you of course) and a nominal fee.

I am pretty certain the show floor will be smaller this year but I still know several girls who are planning on attending for the parties as hotel rates are cheaper than in years past.  I also know several who plan on working (dancing or privates) to make up the party money.  I'm sure it will be a more subdued vibe but we may find more PS with an open schedule and a
an open mind than in years past.... if not, LOL fuck it! It's  still Vegas where the local talent is crazy hot ; )

I can't say for certain, but by the time AEE rolls around, the economy could really be picking up steam again. the gals in the biz might take advantage of the low key environment attending AEE in hopes of making solid porn connections because of the smaller attendance.

Comparing last year's attendance at AEE and CES to this year, we should actually see a little bit of an up-tick since last year was the year that the credit institutions locked up and that fucked everyone over. We're in baby step rebound mode folks.

I suspect attendance will be down a bit, but AEE/AVN will still be the best attended adult show. Lots of girls will be there...and available.

I plan to attend. Dinners, dates, strip clubs, friends... It will be hard to top last year, but I plan to try!

That moved recently from the Venetian/Sands to the Mirage a few years ago is, I believe, moving to the Palms this year (which happens to be the "hot" hotel/casino in Vegas right now.

Rumor has it, with exhibitor participation and attendence down that the entire show may move there next year.

The awards show moved from the Venetian to Mandalay Bay which sucked as a venue.... The Palms has been trying to get the show for the last couple years and they finally worked it out this year The Pearl at the Palms will be a perfect place for the awards. Next year hopefully the whole thing will move there

I live near Vegas and work in a hotel (I got bored and checked our occupency last week for NYE weekend, it's only at 10%). I think AEE won't be as packed as it was 2-4 years ago and some of the regular companies may not be/are not going this year so the floor will be less crowded again like last year. I've spoken to a few PS who have indicated they'd like to go but not many companies (sans Wicked, Vivid, et.al.) are committing girls to the event, at least not yet.  In a way, maybe it's better if its scaled down w/less exhibitors and crowds, you get more time to talk to the ladies.  But at least it's not in the same building as CES, that caused too many headaches.  The hotel rates are lower this year like last so thats a plus. Im just wondering if they'd consider doing this over 3 days not 4, not many of them are there on Sunday and most just want to go home due to being tired, sick, et.al.  It'll probably be more crowded next year if the economy improves somewhat.
BTW Stripperfan, we gotta do dinner sometime during AVNs, you bring your dates, I'll bring mine.
