The fact is most touring girls are accepting discounted rates to the $500 to $700 range. And I've spoken with a number of girls who have toured, especially to NYC, working with the best known agencies. Many tell me they get to NYC and just don't get enough calls at ANY rate. Some are going for four or five days and only getting a handful of calls. With the economy being what it is, I think Bodymiracle and BellaModels just aren't booking calls at the same rate that E2K did in it's heyday with a buzzing economy. In any event, most girls are I'm talking to are getting very realistic, and lowering their rates substantially. Any comments?
I totally agree. Also, I'm much more like to spend the same $1.5k for more time for a true PSE when I know that time will be much less of a factor.

If you go back to the '70's, high end escort rates (now topping at $1500/h) are one of the few items to have greatly exceeded the rate of inflation, along with housing, college tuition and health care.
My own pet theory on the $1500 per hour rate is that it was initially fueled by the exploding stock market of the late '90's. Then, it was just a question of cashing in stocks or options to maintain one's lifestyle.
Things have been much tougher since 2000, though. Unless you're a CEO of a large company, salary increases have not kept pace with inflation. However, people have been sustaining their lifestyles, especially on the east and west coats, by using their home/real estate as an ATM machine (i.e., with HELOC loans). At least, they've been using these for cars, trips, kids tuitions, so why not some percentage going to escorts?
With interest rates rising and the real estate markets topping out, maybe the last source of discretionary income is being tapped out? Course, it's also true that the stock market, particularly the foreign markets, are going through a correction, so that too would exert downward pressure on escort prices.
If this theory is correct, then we might see continued reductions in escort prices, should the real estate bubble truly burst.
I think this is just another one of those urban myths that are always perpetuated. I have not seen anything factual on this ,and it seems like the agencies or the PSE's on their websites have not lowered any.
The end of the $1500/h rate could indeed be an urban myth.....but can you think of any better information clearinghouse other than TER that could either prove or disprove?
I'm amazed at you guys who have PM'd me as well as posted asking for a list of who dropped their rates.
The answer is virtually all of them, but NONE of them would if guys weren't already offering them less. If a girl or an agency asks for $1500, and you offer them only $750 or even $1K, what's the worst that could happen. They turn you down and you wouldn't get laid? C'mon guys, don't ask for a list...have some balls, make your own list. The $1500 rate is not writtten in stone and with the market being what it is, you can and should be offering a lot less. I talked to at least one girl who is in NYC right now on a tour with one agency and she has not had a call all day Sauturday and all day Sunday. Obviously, the agency is not swimming in business the way they used to, and the girls are hurting. BELIEVE ME, MOST OF THESE WORKING GIRLS ARE PRETY HUNGRY and they would rather take less than not get the work. Many of us already know this from talking to the girls. FASTEDDIE, back me up on this. In any event, if you want to pay a lower price, offer a more reasonable number and don't be surprised if the number is accepted.
Especially if you bargain for more time and not less $. Even so, less $ is not out of the question, just ask the question.
There's a few girls, on their site, that I would see for even 1k, but not 1.5.
Most of these girls haven't finished more than the 10th grade so they would not know what economic factors are. They are narrow minded in comparing escorting rates with their rates shooting porn. They don't about the fact that they get paid $1200 for a scene and the company makes hundreds of thousands off of them and the $1200 they got paid for eternity.
These girls are very narrow and short minded. They think of the day's expense maybe the next days but not farther than that.
It's one thing to command $1500/hr when you don't tour very often or on a limited basis but when you are in every city once every 4 weeks than it's outrageous.

There is one provider, Gina Depalma of NYC who advertises a discount before 5 PM on weekends.
That's the only one I've seen, but it makes sense, just like airlines, restaurants and cell phones do and soon, electric rates.
With a number of ladies insisting on 2-3 hr minimums how many guys actually book those hrs?
Personally, I always book multi-hours. If it is someone I've seen before and 'click' with, I'll often go for overnighters or even 2-3 days. If it is someone you've seen regularly and develop some sort of friendship with, the rates will drop dramatically.
If I can afford the price, I would much rather book a multi-hour appt at the one hour rate. It takes the rush out of things and assures that you can "pop 'till you drop".

DollarsAndSense is essentially correct. Many girls I kmow are complaining that they're sitting on their asses on tour. And now, many of them are sitting on their asses in NYC, something that was unheard of just a few short years ago. So now many are willing to discount their rate. Remember, a girl touring ith an agency at $1500 is only getting around $900 or $1000. If the agency 1099's them, after taxes they're going to net maybe $600? So when a girl is sitting on her butt and not getting any agency action, $500 to $700 in a cash deal is about the same as they'd make through the agency. It's a no-brainer.
HOWEVER: There are definitely some big name PSEs, Vivid/Wicked girls, Playmates/Pets, etc. who can obviously get whatever thy ask. And there are some agencies who specialize in these girls. There are also a (small) percentage of "regular" PSEs who will only book through an agency. So if you want to see any of these ladies, you gotta book through the agency.
And there are also some PSEs who have ego problems and who judge their value by their perception of what their "peers" are getting... unfortunately, they tend to use the agency rates as their benchmark, without knowing how much business the girl is actually getting and how much volume they're doing.
Also, there are some girls who are perfectly happy seeing four hobbyists at $1500 than 10 hobbyists at $1000. They're not looking for high volume and are content with coming to a city, netting four or five thousand bucks and going home. You certainly can't fault them for that... a girl can and should be able to charge whatever she feels she's worth.
So it's a varied field out there... depending on the girl, her status, her attitude, etc. The rates vary widely.
For example... When Kiki D'Aire was escorting, she orignally toured with E2K at $1500/hr. She wasn't making a lot of money with them, so she decided to go direct at $1000, booking through her website. Still she wasn't making the kind of money she wanted. Finally she ended up going with a small Boston agency called Belladonna.com at $500/hr. Kiki told me that she made MUCH more money at $500/hr (her cut was $400) than she ever made direct or with E2K. And to tell the truth, I knew about Kiki, but never even considered booking her until she was at the $500 rate. Turned out she was a GREAT PSE, but I never would have known that otherwise.
I have a couple of yahoo groups, and I've done polls on all of them regarding PSE pricing. The overwhelming consensus was that $800 to $1000/hr was the maximium that the majority was willing to pay for a PSE encounter, and $500 to $800 was the rate where most would book PSEs on a regular basis.
So in conclusion, there are a LOT of PSEs who'll book for $500 to $800. There are many who'll book direct at $1000, and there are some who'll only book through an agency at $1500 or higher... some MUCH higher. As a hobbyist, you need to decide what you're willing to spend for which specific PSE.

As someone in a smaller market (Portland, OR) it seems to me as I watch the schedules on Body Miracle and other agencies, that PSE's barely tour anywhere besides NYC these days. (Thank god for Sara Jay.) So perhaps it's a supply and demand thing and if they spread it around a little they might see bookings improve.
The reason you don't see much touring in other cities is that most of them are hit-or-miss. New York City USED to be a sure thing. In fact, E2K used to dangle a NYC tour as the carrot to keep their girls exclusive and loyal. If you booked strictly through E2K, they'd bring you to NY once a month. If you booked with other agencies or worse, directly, you'd get to go to NY maybe every three or four months.
Those days I think are over though. Back then it was pretty much E2K and Body Miracle, so the number of girls in town at the same time was relatively few. But even E2K got greedy toward the end, and started bringing in upwards of 8 to 10 girls at the same time.
Now you have Body Miracle, Sophie's Dream Girls, XXXVixons, Dreamgirls, Bella Models, and a few smaller agencies, plus you have a LOT more PSEs booking directly. At any given time there might be as many as 10 to 15 girls in NYC.
Another reason you don't see as many tours as before is that the agencies no longer pay for the girl's airfare. (At least none that I'm aware of). Paying to fly a girl from out of state into a city is a violation of the Mann Act. It's a Federal law and carries tough penalties, the result being that most of the agencies wised up and discontinued the practice. Now the girl has to risk her own money to travel to a city, so now the PSe doesn't want to travel unless she's sure she's going to make money
It's a matter of what the market will bear. There are so many Porn Stars out there now, with the internet stuff that the market may be over saturated. I still contend that there are many local girls , especially in Miami and LA that are luch less than the Porn Stars and preform much better.
However, iin a free market society, there are ladies out there that I would pay the asking price, however it is just a handful. In the past I have paid more than I wanted too, with less than great results, we all have had that experience. To this day the best ever was Natasha of Miami and she is not a porn star.
I recently saw Venus at a much lower rate than BM advertised, the same with another star that they have.
If the agencies take a look at the history of the travel agency business they will see that the golry days are over and they need to understand the market better. BM is a good agency so is Miami Companions, but these ladies really can make more if they were more reasonable. I would gladly give a lady a large tip if I had a great time than pay a high price not knowing the outcome of the meeting.
it kinda shows if you look at the main agencies too. Most of the agencies aren't even posting tour schedules anymore. I remember when the summer was full of tour dates.
