Wow that is really sad. She should get out, find something else to do. Even if it means living meagerly. Mental health over financial health, if you are forced to choose. Though financial health does affect mental health, never an easy answer.

Why is it a show of sour grapes ? The answer is nothing. You assume all these things. That doesn't make them true.

What is not true ? Is she or is she not asking her fans to give her $100,000 to start a business and retire ? The original poster asked if there was a sense of entitlement in asking for this I and obviously a lot of the other posters think there is .  

You said in an early post she ONLY makes $800 for a shoot or $1600 hr escorting . Well I have news for you there is a large portion of this country that doesn't make that much in a WEEK much less an HOUR . I'm sure she knew that when she decided on this line of work .  

If she didn't budget or invest for her future that's not are fault . I don't find anything wrong with working as an escort or in porn . In fact I've meet quite a few bright and capable women in both professions . You'll notice none of them are online begging for money . The smart one's are always investing in their future . But there are quite a few that see their "fans" as money marks there to do nothing but provide for them .  

Like I said I have nothing against real charity but someone cable of making between $800 to $1600 in a day is more then capable of supporting themselves . An earlier poster brought up she could earn the money for her shelter at her hourly rate by seeing less then 70 clients even if you broke that up over two years it sounds like a reasonable goal and that doesn't even count repeat clients or multi hr appointments . Now if she is willing to work for her money I'd be happy to help her but I would not just hand over money for nothing .

We are debating how you think you can make so many generalizations about her life, and then insult her on top of it.  

Now, if you are her financial advisor or accountant, sure. Put it out there that she didn't save and she made more than enough and she was irresponsible blah blah blah. But you're not. Clearly, since you can't even factor in expenses like rent or food or transportation to and from work into your little "70 hours in 2 years" figure.  

Let alone to START a business by putting 100 grand into it, she would have close to $200,000 in the bank to safely navigate pitfalls and personal expenses while it gets off the ground. Especially because a bank is probably not going to give her a loan. So even if she was completely responsible and has enough saved to get it off the ground without problems for herself, she's still going to have to either have $100,000 just sitting in the bank, or try to find investors and/or donations. Now, tell me again how many people making less than probably $60,000 (shit, she probably brought 1/2-3/4 that home, after expenses and taxes) can put that kind of money away in ten years?

But you didn't think of that, did you? All you saw was some "irresponsible girl" who was trying to do something besides porn, and your sour grapes got the best of you.
