I have loved porn for a long time...but for me...I'm just not as turned on by many of the stars and scenes today. I miss the good old days where I couldn't wait for the latest Jill Kelly release, or Vivid. Stars like Celeste, Ana Mall, Young Tabitha Stevens, JR Carrington, Olivia Del Rio, Raquel Darrien, and so many others. I can remember spending hours in the video store hoping Paola Rey or Torrie Wells had a new movie out. These women were insanely hot...Baywatch hot! I realize things change, and I do like many of today's stars, but find too many big names that are too skinny, too extreme, and frankly boring. I know...to each his own, but this scene made me realize how sexy and beautiful things used to be...at least for me.
I have to agree. There have been a few insanely hot women in the past few years, but many have been short-lived and disappeared quickly. I'd say Romi Rain, Capri Cavanni, Kortney Kane, Destiny Dixon, Jessa Rhodes and Summer Brielle have been a few of the best-looking. But the days of Tori Welles, Nikki Tyler, Lexus, Jill Kelly....wow they were frigging phenomenal. What I would give for Nikki Tyler in her prime....
I think it is the digital age is part of the issue. Back in the 80's, 90's and even early 2000's.... there was more production in porn, editing, marketing, adult movie sections in video stores, etc.
Now with everything so digital and you don't see "video" stores and what not. People can cut and edit vids damn near on a smart phone. I mean look you can shoot vids with go pros, cell phones, etc. You don't need all the equipment like in the 80/90's. I mean a laptop and go pro... lol
So with all of that I think many stars get burned out way too fast. Some do shoots nonstop. Where the bigger stars you named would do a couple of films and they would spread out releases. Now it seems every other week on different sites you get new releases of the "hot" or "now" stars.
I thought the porn stars of yesteryear were totally hot, and sometimes get a little nostalgic.

Bad lighting, bad editing, bad acting, bad directing. Sure there was some high end stuff and some very hot women. But I look at vintage films now and all I see are the defects.
IMHO, we are in a golden age of spank bank content. Just think about the sheer number of titles and scenes being released, the variety of subject matter, and the ease of access. If you like tall hair and natural pussy, then help yourself to the vintage stuff (just remember that you're gonna be seeing the Ron Jeremys of the era as well as the Jill Kellys). For me, I'll stick with the today's latest nubile teen It Girl, and then I'll check out tomorrow's.
But can't stop evolution. Not even with porn/escorts. Started out with that curtained backroom at the video store, on to strip clubs with a bit of fingering in the VIP rooms, actually driving out to LV to the brothels for some legal/expensive/out-in-the-middle-of-nowhere fun and eventually the local talent including the pornstar crowd. Looking back I'm happy to have had some good visits with some personal favs. My first PS provider was Cumisha and it was such a charge meeting a girl you'd seen on video. Wished I'd had more $$$ to see more favs of those days, but my job at the time didn't produce that kind of dough. On my trip out to LV remember getting a copy of Gangbang Girl 3&4 with Debi Diamond on VHS (yes VHS). The woman was an animal. Years later, she was older and didn't quite have the same physique, but I was hella happy to meet her and have incredibly anticipated fun. Some regrets were Nikki Dial (or so I had heard) Anna Malle and Jeanna Fine. But, If your wallet can't handle it, that's life. That being said, I look back and I am grateful to have seen the number of adult stars that I have. And that being said, I also find myself wanting to try out the new names on the scene, especially in my middle aged life.... just gotta squeeze enough out of the old wallet. GRRRRR!
