This is an opportunity to vent on any subject, hobby relate4d or not, that's pissing you off.

The prices between British O/N European O/n and USA 1 hr is not much
I got a rather nast email off Photogirls regarding a PSE prices when she travelled to the UK from US, and I politely asked her if them rates were available when in USA,
lets face it it was $750 per hr for a top name

Your last statement took the words outta my mouth, which has been exhuasted many times over. The price is not too much if people are willing to pay it. I know girls who can't pay their rent charging 500/hr that were charging 2000/hr less than 8 months ago. It's a sad thing to see.
I still charge the same amount since I entered into the business, and I haven'y slowed down very much at all. Sure there has been a slight slide but not to warrant a change in pricing.
Thats what really burns my panties is when guys email me for my rates and I give them the price, and they come back ranting who they saw and for how much. I am happy for you, but that doesn't make me change my price. If a girl isnt willing to adjust her price it's probably because she doesn't need to.
At $500/hr they can't make rent? Much of the civilized world doesn't get paid $500/month. Most of America gets by on $600-700/week.

There's one and ONLY way to get lower hourly rates and that is to stop paying sky high rates for these girls. Supply and demand will bring prices down. When people stop paying, prices will be adjusted according to what the market will bear. We keep paying and there is no reason to drop prices.
I've paid $1,650 twice in my career for a PS, and thinking about it now, I must have been out of my fucking mind. For that $1,650 I could have had 4 amazing GFE sessions, at $400 per, that blow away these 2 PS experiences, and would have had $50 left over for a nice dinner.

And I know of at least one A-list girl who lowered her rates from 3k to 1.6k due to the recession. So it does happen and it might have been solely due to the economy or it might have been due to a combination of that and public complaints.
As for why some girls won't lower their rates even though they're not doing as well as they normally would, well it's likely due to ego and how they perceive themselves as being worth a given dollar value. And despite decreased profit they stick with that price no matter what as they can't bring themselves to lower it.

I think this is correct. It's one thing to lower your price on what you think is a unique item on eBay. It's quite another to lower it on what you think is a unique item -- yourself.
The girls who stick to their rates, in my opinion, deserve respect, not condemnation. They understand that, when you boil it all down, most physical relationships have a monetary component to it -- overt or not. To wit: The most important determinant in predicting whether couples will marry is their economic status and how closely it mirrors each other's.
