Given that I had low expectations for this film, I used a free rental certificate and checked out the DVD [no way I was paying over $10 at the cinema].  I'm glad it was free since the film was a huge mess.  Was this movie edited by Michael Bay?  The acting was atrocious and you had a tough time following the story.  If I was a non-hobbyist, I would have wondered if Ed Wood had made the film.

The main problem with the film is the editing.  You are not allowed to follow along with the story.  Plus, the character and storyline development is sorely lacking.  The movie does not explore the subject matter in a more detailed fashion.  The dialogue was pretty bad as well.  The 'screening' scene was so laughable.  Someone needs to tell Sasha Grey how screening is really done. lol

... and couldn't do it. One of only a handful of films I've ever quit before the end -- and this was a short film. Still. No focus whatsoever and dialogue that simply wouldn't happen in reality. In one scene, Sasha is asking a prospective client (whom she's never seen before and who has never seen an escort) questions like "so what are you looking for? What would you like to do?" This is a phone conversation and name one escort who wants to talk specifics over a phone line. Anybody on this board could have acted as a technical advisor and the results would have been better.

Any episode of "Secret Diary of a Call Girl" far exceeded this attempt at using the hobby in film.
