I think guys who post ISO for girls that are already listed on the regular escorting sights or have recent reviews should be banned from posting anything for a year.
Any thoughts about these guys who won't do research and just waste everyones time?
That is a STUPID thought especially if the guy is paying for TER..... You don't have to read a post. But that is just my opinion.
These numerous threads push the ladies ads off the first page way too soon. Honestly, a little homework would preclude a lot of these unnecessary threads.
I agree sofla but No one is forced to read an ISO post and more importantly no one is forced to respond to an ISO post. If one thinks the poster is stupid or lazy, then ignore him and the post. I see so much negative energy wasted on here by gents who try so hard to prove that they are more search savvy than others
Sofla:
I don't agree with your reasoning. The ISO's only push the ads off if there are a lot of respondents; otherwise the thread is very short.
Maybe a better answer would be to periodically (i.e. monthly) post the instructions for searching for information in the Reviews and in the Boards.
Z.
Size of the thread doesn't matter, it's the number of threads that is a constant on the first page. It doesn't matter if there is one post or 100 in that thread. It's the number of threads that determines what is on the first page. Each thread, however long, bumps another thread off.

...protecting how long a provider's ad stays on page one?
Shut down discussion so a provider's ad stays on the front page?
Talk about the tail wagging the dog!
Can TER do a "sticky" post at the top of the page entitled "available this week" that girls can add to?
Or, a sticky ISO this week that such requests could be moved to?
Anyway, the focus here seems to me symptomatic of why so little real discussion seems to be occuring here of late.
While ads are part of the discussion, God help us all if all we have are ads. I don't think ads should be a priority over legitimate discussion.
That being said, yes, ISOs where nobody does a search are annoying, but I think they come with the territory. My experience with discussion boards on the Internets tubes and the Googles indicates that if you had search illuminated in blinking neon lights, people would still miss it and post questions that could be answered with a simple search. I think the phrase is "we keep idiot-proofing things, but they keep inventing better idiots".
The idea of a weekly ad thread is interesting- the problem being that the New TER doesn't really work with this model at all. Ads are to be marked as such and should go down the page, while active discussion threads stay up at the top. I'll refrain from comment on the design other than saying the user feedback on the beta has been decidedly mixed, which you can see here:

Break it into 3 segments, PS, TS and regional and automatically re-direct all inquiries to that board. Probably can't be done, right?
I think ISOs even for people who have been mentioned many times before are not necessarily bad (OK, "Is Lisa Ann available?" is a bit played out, but...), simply because sometimes it prompts some updated information or a new war story from someone who's seen the lady recently. As far as discussion goes, give it time... between the "shilling" fiasco which seemed aimed at banning any discussion at all, and the loss of Eddie, the community will need to regrow a bit.
Eddie had a definite impact on this board, his personality was as much a part of it as anything else. You just don't replace that.
I just don't want the board to be 25 one or two post threads, as it tends to become when a series of ISO's are posted.
A Link to the PS's pics, some discussion about what you like most about her, anything to spark discussion really helps get these threads going and make them more interactive.
I think it's ridiculous when a guy just asks a simple question if a certain lady provides or not and people take more time to attack the guy for asking when it would take LESS time to just reply "yes" or "no".
First off... With how slow the board has been lately I doubt anyone's ad for the week is going to get buried. If you scroll to the bottom of the page. That thread started 2 days ago. And I am sure most guys on here go to the second page.
Secondly, to all newbies there is a search button at the top right above the threads. Click on it and put the girl you are asking about in the subject box. Then go down where it says 30 days and add two zeros to that to make it 3000 days then click search. If you did not find what you were looking for and the girl has no reviews then 9 out of 10 times she does not provide or is a UTR (Under the Radar). And your next step would be to message or email someone like Jinx at Platinum, Adonia at TLC or Pam Peaks. They would be happy to let you know if that girl is available.
And guys go easy on the newbies. i remember when I couldn't even post a picture right. hahaha!!
My biggest pet peeve is when they said they did the search and the leg work and you know for a fact they didn't.
I hope all of you have a Happy and Safe 4th Of July!!

My observation is that many casual posters and visitors don't know to edit the default 30 day search to 300 or 3000.
So, maybe that is the answer right there. Why not change the default to 3000?
A simple fix that might eliminate many ISO requests....
That should be the ticket right there! If Admin would change the search days to 3000 that would help in so many ways. 30 days is actually a ridiculous number. And if someone wants a lot of info on a girl 3000 days should do it. And we all know that most people do not add zeros when searching.
Now the only trick would be getting admin to do it.
I have to disagree, TER is barely stable as is and setting the default search window to 3000 days would only make it worse.
Maybe your right and I went a 0 too far. It should at least be 300. That would give guys plenty of info.
30 days doesn't give you squat. And that really should be changed to a higher number.
I agree, 300 days would be a better starting point.
I agree 100% Artemus, either answer or ignore, lecturing should not be an option
