....pornstar of the week on fridays....that's a shout out w/links to porn stars....that is if someone is going to be in a tizzy...btw ....that a PSA for the boys he does that for!
No, you can't post ads or contact information for ladies. Says so right here:
http://www.theeroticreview.com/discussion_boards/viewmsg.asp?MessageID=51421&boardID=33
"Provider ADs cannot be posted by anyone other than themselves, their booker, or another provider.
Ladies, do not ask guys to post ads for you—it only gets them moderated."
You're welcome to invite ladies onto TER, and direct them to our rules and policies on ads, but no, you're not helping them or yourselves by putting contact information here in order for them to escort. If they want to use TER as a resource for that, THEY need to do it themselves.
Examples of what's going to be OK and what won't:
"Porn Star X is appearing at Strip Club Y/signing pictures at Porn Store Y/AVN" - fine.
"Here's Porn Star X's phone number/email if you want to set up a private"- ad, not going to be allowed.
Thanks for your cooperation.

That puts an end to the "300 Club" posts. It's almost entirely contact information for providers...

If I read that right, even posting a link under the guise of "asking for info on this provider" is also a no-no. I see that all over the boards.
Essentially, the only people who can post links to ads or contact info of any type are the providers themselves. If anyone wants contact info another hobbyist has they'll have to have it emailed to them via TER email (I'm guessing posting your own private email is also a no-no). Ergo, you'll need to be a full TER member to get info from other hobbyists.
Correct?
Please note that when providers add a link, it's not considered an ad.
i would hope the "300 club" posts fall differently since the purpose is not to convince other people too call and set up, it's just a listing for the communities benefit. I mean whats the point of a board if not for the open exchange or compendium of information that can be found elsewhere.
That's probably the one case where there could be any wiggle room.
consider that the 300 club is not an ad - since Danny O does not make money off it.
And it is not really a shill, since he is not promoting one over another.
And it is a PSA for all those of us peons that can't afford the big $$ for the porn stars, but like to fulfill our fantasies.
just sayin'
That being said... I think allowing guys to keep lists hosted elsewhere, but linking to them in the PS forum is a reasonable compromise. I don't think it violates the spirit OR the letter of TER's rules, plus it means people like Danny and Kevin don't have to worry about who is delisted or any editorial restrictions TER places on content.
The 300 Club is an ad.
It also does not belong on this board because the list does not contain any porn stars, only porn actresses.
Anyone with a rate that qualifies for getting on the list is not a star. She's just a local provider that should be discussed on the LA regional board.
you gotta let the 300 club continue....
EXACTLY, it's amazing to me that he has been allowed to use so much bandwith, advertising for ladies.
Half the time providing incorrect information and seems to always be corrected.
If a lady wants to advertise her availability,I am sure she can do it herself, if she doesn't have a computer, borrow one or try your local Library.
This is getting out of control, who knows if he actually has these ladies permission to provide such information on a public board.
Just because he say's he has the permission who really knows, that is why this should not be allowed, the ladies must be protected...
The 300 club is the best and most useful feature on these boards. It is not an ad for any lady or group of ladies, it is a directory of sorts, a pooling and sharing of information.
Many of these ladies have reviews...what is the process for getting their permission for that?
You don't want to protect these ladies. These are the same ladies you disparaged in previous attempts to end the 300 club last year, calling into question their "star" status, looks etc.
The moderators need to interpret and implement the rules as they best see fit, but I hope they bear in mind the wants and needs of their paying membership.
What I said in one of my posts, was: "there are some pretty ladies, even though I don't know who they are"
seriously kathy tell us really how you feel about danny haha
I believe the 300 club is posted by KevinRobey ??
So am I correct or not? No posting links or info of any kind, and the only way to get info is via TER email, reviews or ads posted by the providers (and their companies) themselves?
If the TER rules are followed then the 300 club, like myspace and other links, gets zapped automatically.
With all due respect, I am of the opiniom that this is a reliable reference summary which serves the TER community well.
Really like your post.
You make some excellent points, especially the one about whether the ladies have granted their consent to the information being posted on a public board.
I don't think you go far enough in protecting the ladies' wishes.
1. All ladies are UTR unless they make information about their availability accessible on website (i.e. on a link).
2. No lady should be put on a list determined by rate unless she posts an hourly rate that meets the criteria on a website.
So when a hobbyist ask "Does so and so provide?" What do you want us to do if we know she does provide but does not have a TER approved website?
