That is why some of us think it over priced when talent who has never had a box cover or been a real name in porn asks for 1k/hr while she is shooting for around 500, if that.

Back in the day the smart move for talent was to make a name for her then tour, when that was lucrative. A real headliner could make great cash for a weekend gig. Another option that came later was to move into escorting.

A few of the names mentioned here and not started out as escorts, then moved into porn to capitalize on stardom later on by going back to escorting to command huge fees.

agree too with generalismo. the agency rate is 1k+agent fees, but often they do non-agency shoots for 500 and in both cases a scene is around a 4 hour shoot, so escorting is definetly less work for the same money (IMHO plus they can rush us if they want, on a shoot they're often stuck waiting well beyond 4 hrs))))
