I haven't posted on TER for nearly a year now and haven't even visited the site for at least 4 months. Let's just say I'm retired from the hobby.
For some odd reason, I felt compelled to login tonight, just to see what was going on. Evidently, there was a reason my mind was tugging me in this direction. I have to say that I am totally shocked to see that Eddie is no longer with us. What a sad day for TER, the hobby and all the people he has had a profound effect on over the years.
Eddie was a great friend. As most of you know, Eddie and I moderated this board together for years. What many of you may not know is that he was hobbying many years before me. When I started in the hobby, he was always very helpful to me. Always willing to give of himself. Like for many others, he quickly became my hobbying mentor. It was because of all his help and willingness to give of himself that got me to start doing the same thing for other hobbyists, PSEs and other providers, and to eventually take on the moderating of this board.
While I'm not here on TER anymore and haven't posted for at least a year, I thought it was important for me to say a few words about our great friend Eddie. He will be sorely missed by the many people whose lives he's touched, including mine!!!
I didn't know Eddie for long, but we had PM'd a few times of late, and I was always impressed by his fairness and his genuine benevolence towards most people. He had a good heart, and I hope that Eddie is in porn star heaven, gettin' it on forever.
Eddie always wanted to help and give advice even if he didn't even know you. And made many connections between people. He was one of the best people I met on this board. Rest in peace Eddie.
I was just speaking to him about you the other day. Send an email and I will tell you about it. I already miss him. Such a good guy and such a terrible shame.
Ed always had time, took the time and made an effort to be fair and helpful. I'll miss his posts. They always were drama free, and level headed. And it didn't hurt that he had insights on how to get into the pants of many PSEs too...
I didn't know Ed but I liked reading his posts and his blog.I feel the best way for me to honor him is to finally book that appointment with a PSE. I have always backed out in the last minute before booking. So next time one of my favorite PSE's come to Chicago, I'm going to do it. Life is just way too short, to always have the shoulda, coulda, woulda mentality. So the next provider I see is for Ed. Its going to be a PSE and I'm going to report back to ter how my experiance was.
