I've seen various posts on Exxxotica over the years. I've never attended one before, however I will be in Chicago the week before and after this years event. It's possible I'll stay the weekend if it seems worth it. Is it worth looking into, hobby-wise, or are most of the talent just there for their contractual obligations? Do any go to town early or stay late? Are there performers there that aren't advertised? Just looking for general information from those with experience with these events.

Athough I've not attended Exxxoticas, I've attended AVNs since 2005 (excluding the 2 years it was virtual only due to COVID) so IMO:

Answer - For the most part, PS are there to meet their fans and do content trades, attend parties, and other porn stuff. o Ps do sessions during conventions. It varies w/the PS that escort, some do then others are so limited in their schedule that they dont have the time to do so. Although you can try and setup something on the convention floor (not recommended) floor, its better to reach out to the PS you wanna see then well in avance before the convention dates. Also, once you do setup a date/time, be prepared for the posibility of changing either or both to latre or earlie

Answer - Yes to both (some unfortunately do leave earlier or cxl altogether on short notice, some even no-show conventions)
Are there performers there that aren't advertised?
Answer - definitely yes, this is where following them on Twitter helps as many will post where they are there or take photos of themselves on the actual convention floor.
BTW, be prepared to play Wheres Waldo at any of the PS conventions in trying to locate some PS esp when it geets crowded.
