Yes but the brothel rules are too stringent for some, including myself...I would never get the appt. i want there, so i could not & would not go there....I would rather spend the day hiking at Red Rock Canyon in August than go to a brothel..

It's not that the federal government can't prosecute you, it's that they have a policy of mostly prosecuting people like the agency owners (as opposed to the participants). "Johns" / "Prostitutes" are generally only going to get prosecuted (by the feds anyway) if there is something else going on and they just want to nail you on everything - not paying taxes on the income, etc.
As I said on the Legal Board, most johns don't have to worry. It's too much time, money and effort to track down a john to arrest them on what would most likely be a misdemeanor or a charge that would get pled down to a misdemeanor. You only need to worry if you're high profile like, say, the Governor of New York.
Perhaps from a legal perspective most johns don't have to worry, however, the authorities could very well make public the names of the johns which would have far greater consequences.
It depends, I guess, on how unique your name is in your community. If it's John Smith, it's probably no big deal. If you're real name is Izuk Pussylips, you should probably run for the hills.
