No you should never have to pay a deposit to see someone.

The only exception I could think would be if you had a track record of canceling appointments.

And yes I think if she cancelled on you, she should have given you ALL of your money back immediately.

Sounds to me like this lady in question was hurting for cash when she booked your appointment, but then got an opportunity for a bigger payday.

I hope you get all your money back, but it sounds like you got zero reason to trust her to do the right thing.

It's quite coincidental that you mention this, as I was coming on the board to write a bit of a rant.

I recently vacationed in Europe and booked a girl for two days in Italy.  She requested 1/2 of the money upfront by Western Union.  I was largely opposed, but could understand her position that she had to travel a bit to meet me and I my not be serious.  I checked a review on her and found one by a gentleman who himself had a plethora of reviews.  I figured it was legit.  

Well, after deposit I got no contact, E-mail or otherwise all the way through to the day after the appointment.  She then wrote a brief apology that she was in an accident and could not make it.  I gave her my information to return the money but I have yet to see a dime.  Not very amused.  I think this experience has scared me off from the "deposit" game.

...is if the lady has to travel just to see you and is booking her own filghts and/or room.  Even then, I always tried to book her ticket for her and the room myself to minimize the up front financial exposure.  I had way too many NCNS's to warrant a deposit.

Hey, cancellations happen, but this lady needs to give the entire deposit back now, or it needs to be brought up here.

If you give a deposit I always thought that guaranteed the appontment. NO SUCH THING AS CONFLICTS IN HER SCHEDULE. By paying a deposit your date & time is now guaranteed.

Someone once told me his policy was if a provider required a deposit his response was if you cancel on me after a a deposit was made I require you to pay me back the deposit plus interest. If you do not pay me back I will post a thread on TER.

I definitely would not consider a deposit for an independent lady unless I knew her well .  But what about the well known agenies that are booking for some of the top PS.  Will they insist on a deposit [ for local outcall, like LA or LV].  And if so can they be trusted for an immediate refund in case the lady cancels or no-shows

That some ladies I am okay if they cancelled on me and said to me "Hey can I give you some now and the rest next week or soon thereafterr" just like I have had ladies tell me "Hey just pay me half now and the rest next week in my paypal"..This is because we have known each other for more than a year and have had multiple sessions..

Now for a lady who I have never seen before..There is no way I would accept 25% of my money back and the rest the following week..Just like she would not accept the same from me..

If this lady does not return your money you need to report her name to us..

Last year, a well known pornstar offered me a lower rate if I were to prepay the session.  I had always wanted to meet her privately and she had great reviews on here, so I did not think anything was wrong by doing that.  

The night of our meeting, she called me on the way  asking if we can meet 30 minuteslater, I was stuck in traffic and said that was fine.  I get to the area, called - nothing, I kept calling her for another 2 and a half hours before she finally picked up and was ready.  You don't know how many times I wanted to bail but I was stuck because I prepaid.  

Her performance was no way near her reviews and then she gave me the bill for the room.  It turned out to be the worst hobbying experience of my life.  

The moral of my story, Never pay a deposit unless you know the lady and have meet her once before for a session.  I will never trust a provider/porn star with a deposit ever again.

Never paid a deposit. Never will. Then again, I never break an appointment once one is set. I feel if I'm trustworthy, then so should the lady, although I understand there are plenty of guys who make appointments and don't show up and thus, the lady requests a deposit. It's just not my style.
