On the other hand, there are a number of tribute pages around, including one by a photographer who claims to have been her friend. That website is linked below.
A search will find that on one very popular social networking site that I don't think I'm allowed to name, she had an account but her last post was in March. It clearly indicates that her real name was Penna Piererra.
However, while I've found tribute pages, and rumors of her death all the way back to May, I have not been able to locate an obituary, or an "official" story.
Penna Piererra was not her real name. It was stage name given to her by one of the agents at Seymore Butts' Lighthouse Talent where she and I were both signed for a period of time. She wanted to change her stage name and give herself a "fresh" start in terms of the type of videos she appeared in and the image she gave herself. She was currently using the name Chantal Phoenix as a performer name - but for her budding music career, not porn. Her real name WAS as listed on the many, many news sites, and one news video footage of her biological mother holding a photo of her does appear to be Lori. I am deeply saddened by this... When I ran my agency, Lori was one of my girls... She was always bright, cheerful and a joy to be around. This news has certainly rocked all of us that knew her. I believe her retirement from the industry is why none of the news reports mentions that she was a former adult star and feature dancer... which is subsequently why there are so many conflicting reports.
I have been given her foster parents' number to contact them. It appears that despite initial reports that her mother wasn't able to bury her, that her foster parents did step in and give her a wonderful burial and the photographer that ran her website sent some of her clothing home to Memphis to make sure she looked like the Lora/Lori/ Penna that we all knew and loved to the very end.
