I have read several messages advising hobbyists to book direct with porn stars. If you don't have friends in the industry what is the best way to try to ook direct with your favorite star?

You can go to the websites of many of the ladies, some of them already book direct, but the best way is to book a session with the PSE of your choice and develope a relationship with her, and once she feels comfortable with you, she will usually turn you on to her girl friends and other ladies in the business she has worked with, its just like any other kind of business, its about making friends and contacts.

jldick50 is right on the money... networking is the key, with pornstars that you've met and with fellow hobbyists.  Websites are OK, and if the girl openly advertises herself as available it's a good way to go, but if she doesn't admit on her website that she meet fans for private shows, it can sometimes be difficult to establish a connection via her site.  She'll often deny that she escorts even if she does, and furthermore many pornstar websites are run by companies that have bought the rights to the girl's name and photo catalog with the pornstar herself having absolutely nothing to do with the site, or else often it's run by her significant other who answers her emails pretending to be her, and he'll deny here availability even if she is (and sometimes the lady escorts without her s/o knowing anything about it).

Bottom line is sometimes you have to bite the bullet and pay retail the first few times to get to know a few of the girls.  ANYTIME you meet a pornstar, at the end of the session ask for her email address and ask if you can stay in touch.  After establishing a rapport via email, then ask her if she can recommend any of her PS friends.

I understand building a rapport is the key, but how can I afford to do that when I can't even afford a single session at full price?

Well in that case you will have to set your goal a little lower, and find a lady who will book direct and is within your budget, most of the ladies keep an address book with the names and numbers of every one they have ever worked with, and once you have developed a relationship and they trust you, they are more than happy to share information with you.
