OK, it may not exactly compare with the revelations of Wikileaks, but on D-Day + 69, Trickster96 has come up with a find in the British press that you won't find in your supermarket tabloid. And though they may not have realized it, and not to trivialize the sacrifice and achievement of those who were there, what we have on view here is, in part, the fruit of what the men were fighting for in Normandy.
But let this freedom not be a distraction from the other, very different challenges to freedom in our time.
And keep in mind that, in any case, it's all illusion —and not always strictly in the Hindu sense. Even the "before" images are products —among other things— of selective light, camera angle, focal length of lenses, and the many variables of the printing process. And it is only via photography —a record of light— that we know, or think we know these ladies and their friends.
The work of —among others— makeup artists, photographers, lighting specialists, directors and the producers who hire and put that work together is key to highlighting the illusion these talented performers bring us.
It really is FM —Fucking Magic.
I do not know any of those gals, except a couple of them, and not seen any of their movies. I have seen a couple of fomer PS girls, and they looked just like their pics and films....Oh, well.....
