Been listening to these Mel tapes all week uncensored   on the Howard Stern show ,very entertaining but that was one of my fav lines.

I doubt it.  If you've been listening to the tapes on shows like ET, it's pretty clear who the better person is and it's not Mel Gibson.

what i hear when i listen to those tapes is an echo of what every fed-up husband/boyfriend has uttered in heated arguments (including the death threats). every guy i know has done it, whether they admit to it or not

but what i hear from her (uttered ever-so-calmly) is "ka-ching! i just bagged Mel Gibson's millions"

Sorry, but even when angry, fed-up and in a heated argument, I've never uttered or thought anything like that. And I've never hit a woman.  If a girl makes me angry enough, I walk away from the relationship. I don't physical and verbally abuse her.

people hear those creatively-edited tapes and immediately fill in the gaps with their own preconceptions of the "monster" he is, of how he must be guilty of this one as well (the physical violence i mean, not the cursing)

Its his right to believe what he wants to believe and she most likely is a gold digging bitch (as most women are) and I will continue to go ans see Gibson movies because I like a lot of his movies.

I totally agree with you RoDunn, reacting like he did is a sign of just how much of an idiot he is. Only a complete and utter asshole would treat the mother of his child that way, and only a monster would hit her while she is holding their baby.

If any of you have ever gotten into it with a bi-polar person you know that when they get mad, venom comes outta their mouth the likes of which you've never heard! Any thought that pops into their heads is gonna come out of their mouth and it may not have anything to do with the truth or their belief system. My brother has this disorder and he's said some things to me in the past while angry that would warrant me never speaking to him again.
Mel needs to get some help.

that Russian bimbette's physical abuse story is falling apart fast (even her own dentist now says those photos look doctored) and meanwhile Mel's other ex-wife has filed a deposition in court sayiing that there was not one episode of domestic abuse in 28 years of marriage!
