"200 seat" would be the capacity IF they covered every square inch of the open floor with folding chairs, left no room to pass between them, and violated the fire code, I suspect. They aren't literally in the "Historic Ybor City District" (HYCD™). Really, they're in the warehouse / industrial district somewhere near the HYCD™. The parking lot is small, the construction is kind of still under way, and it's impossible to access from the majorly dug up street that its address is listed on. Go to the street behind that one, and search thattaway.
The reviews on the various strip-club websites ( http://www.stripclublist.com/ and http://www.tuscl.com/ ) have been marginally poor to neutral, at best. I guess it would be a thrill to get a lapper from someone you had earlier contacted on Voyeur Dorm or a similar site, and I'm sure there will be some tie-ins with the whole "See me at Ybor Secrets later" game. But for my money, Ybor Strip (in the warehouse district the other direction from the HYCD™) is the best club bar none. Currently Ybor Secrets only has a few dancers working, anyway. Their staff will increase eventually.
(TAMPA, FL) -- The owners of CandidCam, Candid Hosting, the famed VoyeurDorm website and new adult Webmater resource board UndertheBus.com will open an all-nude "Ybor Secrets" cabaret in Tampa's historic Ybor City district on July 3rd. The 200-seat club is the first of a planned series of 12 nightspots to open nationwide over the next two years.
Mark Dolan, a partner in Ybor, Inc., which operates the cabaret, says the first dances in the club at 1620 East Adamo Street will begin at 6 p.m. on Wednesday evening. After that, the club will be open six days a week from noon until 5 a.m. Or 6 a.m., except Sunday, when it will open at 6 p.m.
"We have created a theme that respects the excitement and fun of the historic Ybor City district, which has traditionally been the venue for edgy entertainment in Tampa," said Mr. Dolan. "It incorporates some of the concepts developed for VoyeurDorm -- giving the dancers a chance to be real exhibitionists and letting the patrons feel the excitement of being voyeurs of very intimate scenes.
Mr. Dolan said Ybor, Inc. Is scouting locations in other major markets across the country and has already secured three other locations and may develop a franchise program for the Ybor Secrets cabaret concept.
