I heard from Kira Kener that it is the most crowded event ever and that there are sometimes 3 or 4 hour waits just to get in the door? Any truth to this?
No. It is not that bad. There is no way people would wait in line for 3 or 4 hours. The expo opens at 10 or 10:30am for trade registrants. The fans are allowed in at about 1pm. There is a charge to enter so that helps keep the attendance down. Also, there is less people going to CES due to the economy which also keeps attendance at the expo down.
Where you will see long lines is at some of the booths; especially the larger video companies and the more popular ladies. The big companies get really large lines because they usually use one line to meet all of the ladies under contract. It is especially bad when a really popular lady is signing for the large contract company.
Public parties are pretty much a waste of time. The ladies show up per their obligations but leave quickly.
Private parties are just that, private. Unless you know someone, you will probably not even hear about them and invitations at the convention are rather rare to run into.
There will be several stars that are also providers. Look over the last month of posts and you will see several posts from some of them planning on being there. Also, many of the locals will be in town as well.
I'd start emailing the ones you would like to see now. If you wait, you'll end up with some pictures for the convention center and nothing more. Keep in mind, however, this is a very busy week; their schedules are tight and rates may be higher than usual.
My experience with last year was that many stars were available. You're well advised to book ahead and also don't be surprised with cancellations, this happened to me with three of five bookings.
It's also a good opportunity to book highly rated providers that are not in the industry, as many travel to Las Vegas for this event. My best experiences last year were Kianna and a provider from New York.

I must say, last years was MUCH beter than the year before. There are always a ton of parties. I stop by a few but sometimes they get a little to crazy for me but that may be right up your alley.
