I'm pretty sure that Gina's Little Secret is now owned by the same people who own Alluring Intros. There was always some sort of overlap there, even a couple of years ago, but I think there were some changes at AIA (formerly Exclusive Model Introductions) and when those happened, I think there was a merger of sorts.
Anyway, to answer the OP's question: I've talked with a number of people at Exxxotica and almost had a job working for one of the companies that does the porn sites. The reality is that something like 90% of the "porn star websites" are not owned by the porn stars themselves. They provide material for the site, sure, but they do not own it, do not run it, and don't answer questions sent to the contact address given for the site. That wasn't the case about 10 years ago - at that time many of the stars ran their own sites. But, they'd rather be shooting content and not worrying about the day-to-day handling of a web-site so they leave that to a company. Sometimes, yes, it's their own company (for example, Sunny Lane has her own company that, among other things, maintains her "official" site) but even when it's the star's own company, they often do not run the site, nor answer e-mails addressed to the site.
On the other hand, I'd say about 50% of the twitter sites are owned by the stars, and they do answer contacts that way... if they allow contact at all. The percentage might be a bit better with Instagram sites but it's basically the same thing - the stars would rather be out there shooting, touring, dancing or what have you and they leave the day-to-day stuff to assistants. The only reason it's such a high percentage, I think, is because the site is usually tied to their own personal phones.
I think the percentages are even better with snapchat. In most cases, you have to pay for access to a porn star's snapchat. And, because it's so directly tied to their own phones, and what they are doing personally and professionally, that more of the stars are still involved with their snapchat and fewer companies/assistants/what-have-you are involved.
Of course, I don't have a lot of statistics to back this up. It's mostly my feel from talking to people and having been in the computer industry for many years. But I think, even though the percentages might be off, I think the ratio is still probably the same. That is, the stars are more involved with snapchat, less so with twitter, and even less so with the "fan" or "official" web sites.
My favorite method of alternate contact: booking a "private" video session with the star on something like Streamate, Chaturbate, MyFreeCams, or one of the other similar sites. You can talk about nearly anything in a private video show, and you can actually see the star and know 100% that you are talking to her and not an assistant or corporate drone.
