Since it's been a while since we've had one of these...

1. Please make it clear that you can accept PMs (or have an alternate method of contact) if it turns out that the person you're posting a In Search Of is available UTR. As a rule, posts that out UTRs on this board will be disallowed, so let's just save time and make sure you give contact information/let people know you can accept PMs. (This board shows up in Google search results, folks. And cops, divorce attorneys and INS investigators are smart enough these days to use Google.)

2. If someone famous appears to be touring under an alias, don't ask "Hey is this XXX?", especially if the moderator knows for a fact that alias is used to stay UTR. He's going to nuke your thread from orbit. You can point out the ad and say "Hey. is this legit?", BUT DON'T SAY THE NAME YOU THINK THIS PERSON IS, FOR FUCK'S SAKE. This would also be a good place to give contact information that can stay off the boards.

3. Think before you review someone. Maybe even ask the lady/agency first. I can think of someone prominent in the porn industry who HATES reviews, has told me so, definitely provides a A++++++, 10/10 experience, and you can find information about her without trying too hard. But there was a mess when she got "outed", and she has legitimate reasons to not want reviews. Had to work to get things made right. This isn't just about bragging rights here.

I want everyone to be able to share information, but there is a limit to what can be shared publicly on some stuff in this forum or in the reviews on this site. Unfortunately, given the attitudes law enforcement and others have about this, and the consequences ladies face, we have to use discretion. I'm not saying "don't report the ripoffs"... but do think about whether your review is meant to help others or will hurt others before you make it. (Keep in mind a lot of ladies working in porn in the US aren't US citizens... and INS proceedings regarding deportation don't operate on "beyond a reasonable doubt" standards of evidence.)

Also, surely if you have asked about availability of an UTR and people have put "u have a PM" that kind of gives it away also doesn't it?

Just to be clear: I'm not asking for people to censor themselves on reporting rip-offs.

The thread was removed from this forum so it could be brought to the attention of people more able to deal with the issue than we are as forum moderators.

Thanks.
