It leaves me speechless.

I was wondering when it was going to happen again.

The progressive/liberal talk shows are all crying for stricter gun laws again as well as  the outright banning of guns (cept’ for the authoritarian sociopaths that the government chooses to anoint with a "badge").
We have a frustrated, frightened and "angry" populace here in America, and all the background checks, gun registration, magazine/ordnance restrictions, ugly gun legislation and the like is not going to save us, and outlawing em' will only create 100,000,000 new angry criminals from otherwise affable law abiding citizens.

The gun once again is the inanimate messenger of death. Maybe we as a nation should focus on who/what is writing the script behind the message and stop beating up the messenger.

That is where I garnered my cursory observations of the cant of the issue.

Perhaps your umbrage is due to my erroneous using of the word "all". Let me retract and rephrase said as "many" of the progressive/liberal talk shows.........

No one except a misinformed pinhead could seriously disagree with you about the constitutionality of the right to bear arms, and I mean the right of individual Americans to bear arms. I don't have enough information to fault the reaction of the campus and city police but the fact that they were so slow to react demonstrates once again that cops generally just investigate crimes, not prevent them.

all but impossible.  the current invasion is not an open hostile military movement - rather a deliberate and calculated trespass on our soverign soil...  gotta get the priorities straight.... or else we will be taken over.  AND then guess what, you won't ever have to worry about the Bill of Rights - and what they mean - ever again.

then you'll be hearing the talking heads on the right blaming Hollywood films & rap music for this tragedy....

VA Tech. & other similar tragedies, are NOT the fault of watching "The Matrix" or hearing the lyrics of a 50 cent song....That's just absolute non-sense...

packing heat maybe only 12 or thirteen would have been killed in the crossfire tops. Not to mention the fact that the professor would be scared to give anyone anything less than an A in the class otherwise someone might pop a cap in his ass.

It's always the possibility you don't think about which is most dangerous.

that will lead to our failure.  These include- but are not limited to:
Unchecked immigration.
A failure to assimilate those coming in.
Loss of civility within our culture (Imus is only the tip of the iceberg).
A growing segment of the population with their hands out feeding on the fewer and fewer number of productive folk.
Loss of advantage in the global economy due to our failure to decrease our dependance on foreign oil.
A failure of our political system to deliver true leaders to us as choices for compentent goverance at local, state and federal levels.
Political pandering to single issue causes.
Selective and constant "interpretation" of events to "slant the news" to a political agenda by both right and left media outlets as opposed to a fair and honest presentation of facts.
PC that inhibits fair and open debate about our best path forward.
And mostly - a failure of our educational system to appropriately educate the population for participation in the civic process and meaningful contribution to society.

Oh, Z! I think that YOU are the one with failure to consider possibilities... you are the one who wants to protect the ability of many to suck at the tit of the few productive folk left.

As you get older - you are supposed to become more conservative in your thought.  I started in the middle... and still consider myself in the middle.  I watch men my age govern this country, and think, we grew up with similar circumstances, witnessed the same history and yet, our view of the world is so radically different.... WHY!?

The only answer I can contemplate that helps me rectify what I see, with what I know, is the consideration that our "leaders" are really only out for themselves.  That applies to both the right and the left.  No exceptions.

question everything i know?  yea.... and everything everyone else knows as well.  Here are my questions:

This guy was identified as a loon.  Why was no one able to get him help?

When the medial presents this, why is there no question as to what in the South Korean society that would lead him to this state of mind?

Where are the stupid, vapid, incomprehensible, and insensitive questions to this dudes parents that you know the "press" would ask if it were an American citizen who did this - no matter race (except of course if he be Muslim - especially of the radical kind)?

Why are universities rapidly becoming the center for these types of incidents?

What does a "gun free zone" really mean?  to me, it seems to mean "killing field"!

Oh, questions, yea, there are many many more.   Sadly, we have no answers - only dead bodies.  I truly feel the sorrow of the families of the victims.... they all seemed decent sorts!  The loss of potential is heavy on our society... and in this instance - America was the victim of a foreign national to whom we extended our hospitality... but where is the cry about that?

Finally - I'll puke if the Hollywood crowd promotes, pubishes, develops, makes a play, movie, tv show, or any other form of entertainment from this dudes plays, poems or any other writs he may have left... but you know they are already licking their lips to obtain rights....

When will we just ignore them... are we that bored?  - maybe that is my most significant question -

that it what we are rapidly devolving into... How much more of these shootings can the collective-populous take before we break down and abandon the rule of law??

My post was known as a polemic.  Really Bizzaro, you've been making too many shoddy straw men recently. The ability of the masses to (insert well worn shameful cliche here).

At least come up with a straw man that you wouldn't be ashamed to put in a cornfield.

If you want to talk about those subjects, then talk about them, but don't list them and blame them on your oppositions actions.

and I posited questions above.  and you fell into the usual I'm right - you're wrong mode... instead of offering a new perspective.

Sucking at that tit baby??? ummmmm milk from others good... ummmmm  cause that is what we will have if we continue on present course in this country - lots of suckers... and damn few tits.

The guy made no contacts.  I can't picture him asking around about buying a gun, or even answering an ad.
