Let's just let them keep on thinking they're right though. OK?
Anyone with open eyes ,and knowledge of mainstream Republicans, would realize McCain was demonized before he ever won the nomination. He was the underdog..He had fraternized with the left on bills many Republicans disagreed with.. The Liberal Media chose him for the Republican Candidate, because even if he won the election they would still have a Left leaning President, especially so, when looking at the other Republican choices.
From what I have seen, Republicans either voted for the lesser of two liberals,McCain or Obama, or they voted for Sarah..The other 30 million Republicans couldn't hold their nose and vote for McCain,no matter what, so they stayed home. Of course the Media left, and other lefty spokespersons, have a difficult time understanding that, so they blame Mccains loss on Sarah.
The only reason McCain got within 20 million votes of Obama was because of Sarah Palin..
Let's just let them keep on thinking they're right though. OK?
The "Liberal Media" chose him as the Candidate?
How many vote does the media get on the floor of the Republican Convention?
No he was the overwhelming choice of the Grand Old Party, and now you are looking for someone to blame. You don't have to look any farther than President Bush! His incompetence set the stage for a Democratic Landslide.

The media influences votes by their broadcasts.. the mainstream left wing media , ABC,CBS,NBC,CNN, MSNBC never talked good about any of the other reputable Republican candidates before the primaries were over, and they rarely talked bad about McCain..
Once McCain got the nomination the song changed, and he was no longer the Maverick, but now McBush..
The Democrat landslide across the board is merely a result of biased Media and ignorant voters..Al Franken as a example..
I do respect Mccain but he was not in my short list nor was Huckabee..I am only trying to educate ignorant idiots who have no clue, living in their caves, who think it is Sarah Palins fault, that Mccain did not win..
Blame the media!!! The Republicans selected McCain, and they are living with the results. Of course if you are still wanting to support a more deserving, conservative, not a RINO candidate, Rudy Giuliani is still accepting donations - LOL!!!
When it comes to the FUNDAMENTAL issues, McCain is a hard-line Republican. Honestly, he agrees with the GOP 90% of the time - that's more than a RINO to me. I hate the idea that if you don't tow every single freakin' party line, you're not a "true" conservative or liberal.
McCain was disliked by his own party long before the 'liberal media' got to him, hon. McCain has never been a brainless dittohead who doggedly tows party lines, and many more conservative folks in the GOP dislike that.
Take, for example, the "illegitimate black baby" smear of the 2000 primaries. Say what you want, but I am convinced it was the Bush camp who started that nastiness. That's absolutely disgusting. McCain didn't NEED the liberal media to demonize him -- people in his OWN PARTY did it for them!
I do feel it is easy to blame Palin for McCain's loss (and I DO think a lot of people would not vote for McCain BECAUSE of Sarah Palin, I met a few of those), but also unwise. His whole campaign was just disgustingly mismanaged and they did not allow John McCain to be himself. It really is pretty sad when you think about it.
"butterflydust (and I DO think a lot of people would not vote for McCain BECAUSE of Sarah Palin, I met a few of those), but also unwise.'
Its true some did not vote for McCain because of Sarah, but millions more did vote for her in spite of McCain and I am talking of the middle aged soccer Moms and their sons and daughters of voting age...
It seems odd that the left wants to blame Sarah for McCains defeat, but the truth remains that no matter who Mccain had picked, Obama would have won...or does the left think Obama would have been beat with the right VP pick..???
Its no wonder that they live, in confused reality.
You could argue that the media is liberal, (I disagree, but it's arguable) but no way did the media choose McCain for Republicans. Please. No way did that happen. Let's recap the GOP field of candidates and what was wrong: Paul was insane, Giulliani was dumb, Huckabee was theocratic, Mitt Romney was a Mormon, and Thomson was lazy.
Repubs alone were responsible for choosing McCain. Romney would have been the better choice IMHO, but he was a "liberal" Repub too. None of the others would have been an decent choice.
Maybe Sara Palin drew more of the Christian right and social conservatives, but she also lost for McCain many votes in the center.
It's not true that 30 million Repubs couldn't hold their noses to vote for McCain. I'm allowing that you exaggerated in saying that there were 30 million more Repubs. Initially it looks like four million fewer Repubs voted in 2008 than 2004. Actually, a closer look at the numbers show that those "missing" Republicans changed their affiliation to Independent between 2004 and 2008, but then they still overwhelmingly voted Republican this year.
McCain didn't do too bad, and I'm surprised at that. He drew 3.8 million fewer voters than Bush did in 2004. Now that's a significant loss, but considering how terrible Bush's term has been, it's not bad. If Bush had drawn that much in 2004, he would have lost to Kerry within two 10th of a percentage point.
It's that Obama gained 7.8 million more that made this a very decisive win for the Democrats. Obama did draw an overwhelming majority of new voters.
What I'm saying is: don't blame the media and don't blame McCain.

It's people in the McCain camp who blame Palin, and they speak to the media about it. They can stop grumbling at any time and let this die.
"It's people in the McCain camp who blame Palin, and they speak to the media about it."
And the media is as gullible as the masses of drones..so they retread the idiotic talking points from a few, and make it to be the truth for many.. kind of like the Red State, Blue State thing, which is good for election night illustration purposes only, or Morons talking points.
Hmmm..I didn't realize Chris Matthews ooze dripping down his legs, was a McCain camper..
