Perhaps he was thinking methane! That could possibly be considered natural and renewable! ;)

Let's back up to last year. BP oil spill. Then this.

In Japan the 2nd worse nuclear energy disaster in history. Who knows it could become the worse disaster in history.

And yet we in the USA keep recommissioning nuke plants near major cities on active fault lines.

Coal, clean or otherwise is no more renewable than natural gas, but like natural gas it's a resource we have in abundant supply.

I am not as big on playing "gotcha" as many here, Obama makes plenty of gaffes, but so does everyone else that speaks to the public on a regular basis. I find this a lesser gaffe than Nancy Pelosi claiming natural gas is not a fossil fuel.

As far as I am concerned this latest "gaffe" merits nothing more than a giant yawn.

That may be the only way to make the "passage of time" still doable to make them renewable. Hey, a little poetry.

or "More money than brains"

 I was the star,
 Known by all,
 A man of worldly fame.

 Playing with pride, and joy,
 America's, favorite game.
 Always the hero,
 Never the blame.

When I grew old and weary,
 My fame soon expired .
 No longer,
 Called the One.
 I longed for desire.

 I gathered my millions
 And found a way,
To be a Star once More,
 To Live my Life,
 Again!!.

 When I died,
 No need to sigh.
 They quickly froze my head.

 To my chagrin,
 My plans were changed,
 Other motives instead.

Treating me like a common cactus,
 I took a drastic turn,
For what I did not yearn.
 Batting practice!!

are considered renewable and we plenty of it. Just haven't figured out the technology to tap into it.

Google Gas Hydrates and thou shall find plenty of information and what US Geological Survey is working on.

Opps, they shouldn't be spending Tax Payer money, sorry forgot.
