Wow, we're finally standing up to Putin, another great move by Biden...

Dame I'm so tired of all this winning in just six days...
Finally we have a leader who basically says to Puti, "Hey, we know what's up". I wonder if trump ever mentioned the bounties placed on our "loser" servicemen to putin and how that might be just a "no,no"
Glad to see that we're getting back a little of our intestinal fortitude back, it was lost during the last administration.

It's a nice change from Trump sucking Putin's dick for four years but there now need to be concrete steps to punish Putin for Russia's recent hack, putting a bounty on US troops, etc. We need to hold Putin's feet to the fire and let him know there's a price to be paid for fucking with us.

Will Biden continue to arm the Ukrainians? Trump provided lethal weapons, Obama refused.
Will Biden’s moves to reduce US oil & gas production help Russia’s economy?
Congress had been briefed on the “Russian bounties” story long before it became a cause célèbre in the Dem conspiracy bubble. Will Biden continue to run down that rabbit hole?

Generally agree with Nicky’s comment here that more is needed than one phone call to determine what direction US policy towards Russia will eventually head.

All that came up was a little box with a question mark in it.
As for the readout, you failed to mention that not only did Trump's people NEVER even provide one, he refused to reveal what he'd talked to Putin about and once even confiscated the translator's notes.
So a readout is a big change in the right direction.

A change in direction, yes. But as you noted, whether it continues in the right direction remains to be seen.

The street protests about the arrest of Navalny are a perfect opening for us to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play and Russia should tread more lightly in the future. Normally, such things are done secretly to preserve deniability. In this case I'd like it to be a bit more obvious. Putin is vulnerable and we need to demonstrate that to him.

They are already accusing foreign interference. Not sure that US influence wouldn’t bring a stronger crackdown. Interesting approach though.

Which means there's no downside to fucking with them. Maybe we can provoke them into releasing the tapes of Russian hookers peeing on Trump?

of Obama blowing Vlad

Trying to think of some good examples of US interference in domestic conflicts overseas getting the intended result. Counter example would be the overthrow of Ghadaffi in Libya, which only amplified the refugee crisis in Europe and gave the Russians a foothold in North Africa.

Need to see a more results oriented goal re dealing with Putin. Your course of action would not deter Putin, it would likely embolden him to crack down on “traitorous” opponents even harder.

Because it doesn't compare to what's going on in Russia. Libya was a serious insurrection involving armed conflict. Russia is domestic agitation that is unarmed, at least on the part of Navalny's supporters. A better example would be our covert support for pro-democracy demonstrations in Iran.
