June 11th will be a big day for snowflake lefty democrats. Bill DeBlasio will march in the annual Puerto Rican day parade that will honor Oscar Lopez Rivera, a leader of the Puerto Rican terrorist organization known as the Armed Forces of National Liberation (FALN).

Lopez Rivera was sentenced to 35 years in prison for his involvement in the FALN, a group that is responsible for more than 100 bombings in New York, Chicago, Washington and Puerto Rico during the 1970s and 1980s.

Four people were killed in 1975 when an explosion occurred at the historic Fraunces Tavern in New York City, an attack the FALN was responsible for. The organization was also responsible for seriously injuring three NYPD officers in a series of bomb attacks on New Year’s Eve in 1982.

Although Lopez Rivera was never convicted of any of the bombings, a former FALN member testified against him saying he taught members how to make bombs. He was convicted again while serving his sentence after he was caught planning an escape from the prison using explosives and a helicopter.

And here is the best part. Former RacistPresident/Tribal Leader Obuma commuted his sentence immediately before leaving the White House back in January.

Gotta love the guy........commutes the sentence of a traitor and then a terrorist.

What a legacy he leaves. The snoflakes should be sooooo proud of this clown.

The worst part is Cuomo is still making up his mind if HE is going to march.

Maybe if they are lucky they can ask the butt hurt moron Schumer if he'd like to go also. They could play dress up and go as the 3 stooges.

for reasons people like you will never understand.  Sure he took a violent approach but it was for a righteous cause as far as many Puerto Ricans are concerned - To become an independent country and not the milkman's daughter of the United States.  It's a PR thing and there's absolutely no chance of a fat white dude scared of his own extinction understanding La Raza del gente.

As far as being a terrorist organization FALN was terrible at it by todays standards.  They are credited with 120 bombings and only 5 people died.  They mostly went after infrastructure and not human targets.  Also consider that Lopez Rivera was only convicted of sedition and transport of explosives.  He always maintained that he was apolitical prisoner under international law that he was immune from US prosecution as an anti-colonial combatant.  Many in congress on both sides of the aisle opposed his imprisonment.  He served 35 years, more than any other FALN member.

Viva la rasa you pinche cabron racist pindejo.

Are you fucking nuts?

How about we take a deeper look at the man and group you think are "patriots":

"The FALN was responsible for over 130 bombings during this period, including the January 1975 explosion in Manhattan’s historic Fraunces Tavern, which killed four and wounded 63. In October of that year, it set off, all within the span of an hour, 10 bombs in three cities, causing nearly a million dollars in damage.

In August 1977, the FALN set off a series of bombs in Manhattan, forcing 100,000 workers to evacuate their offices; one person was killed, and six were injured. In 1979, the group even threatened to blow up the Indian Point nuclear energy facility located north of New York City. It later sent a communiqué warning the U.S. to “remember … that you have never experienced war on your vitals and that you have many nuclear reactors.”

In 1980, FALN members stormed the Carter-Mondale election headquarters in Chicago, and the George H.W. Bush campaign headquarters in New York, holding employees there hostage at gunpoint. In 1981, they plotted to kidnap President Reagan’s son Ron."

Sounds like they are U.S. based cousins of ISIS to me. But to you...they were just being "patriotic." WOW.

As I said, FALN took a violent path.  But they are still considered patriots by many of your fellow Puerto Rican citizens.  Just like a lot of people hold that Jefferson Davis and Robert E. Lee were patriots.  Is it hard to walk with those sticks up your asses?

You continue to justify and even admire a man and an ideology that is hateful as it terrorized people that FALN did not have a beef with. They had a choice. Act civilly and make changes on the political front through the electoral process if they felt so aggrieved or resort to violence. They chose the same route that evil takes. Your continued support of this "man" is despicable and without logic. Please stop. It makes you look like a fool and a terrorist sympathizer. Good day.

You do realize that it is illegal for Puerto Rican's to vote for their own Indelendence.   That's what Lopez Rivera was convicted of - sedition.  He was not convicted of murder, mayhem or anything "evil" as you put it.

Your comparison to Manchester is completely misguided. There's a huge difference between a freedom fighter and a religious fanatic fighting for nothing more than his own insanity.

As I keep saying, it's something that the right wing nut jobs here just want to piss and bitch about without even knowing what it was all about.

And I cant believe I even have to say this but Hale, Henry and Jefferson did NOT attack, kill and maim innocents to further their cause, a fundamental difference your hateful and moral equivocating mind cant seem to grasp.

Sponsors of the parade have now bailed in huge numbers. Even the NY Daily News, a lefty publication, has removed their sponsorship after reviewing the facts. Are they "right wing nut jobs" too?

Why don't you educate yourself on this topic and stop looking like a total ass or keep digging and provide us all more entertainment?

I don't give a shit about establishment lackeys running from this issue.   Lopez Rivera in a lot of people's eyes was as much a patriot as Washington, Jefferson and yes, Robert E Lee are to others.

If so, kudos. I am sure you will have your opportunity before the day is over as it doesn't seem like a single day goes by without a comment about "racist righties" coming from someone on your side of the aisle. You don't have to call them out every time they do it, as that would be a full time job, but even once would be a nice gesture.

BTW, if even Jake can call out a lefty every once in a while, like he did earlier today, I am sure an "open and fair minded" person like yourself can do it too.

You have a minor point with Patrick Henry but that’s where the credibility ends.

If you were to only focus on the Sons of Liberty your case would be stronger. They did commit acts of violence but I don’t know of anyone they murdered or maimed, although some of them were killed. Samuel Adams topped their roles and Henry was a member but I do not think Nathan Hale was as he was only 10 years old when they formed in 1765. Jefferson was not.

The other part missing from sympathy to FALN is I do not think the government of Puerto Rico ever officially endorsed FALN, unlike the American Colonies that in effect declared war in 1776.

Your statement regarding lack of choice for independence is false. Face it, FALN resorted to extreme violence because they had been rejected by the voters of PR (see link). Oh yea, that and they were all a bunch of Communists. Your Marxism-Leninism is showing a tad.

You questioned whether "murdering/maiming innocents is 'patriotic?'"  Look up the bombing of the King David Hotel and the Deir Yassin massacre.

"By any means necessary" - pussies like you are horrified when Malcolm X said that, but Jews said it long before him.  They believed that any action taken in the pursuit of the creation of a Jewish state was justified...INCLUDING TERRORISM!

The government of PR never endorsed support for FALN. The FALN only became violent after the people of PR rejected their aims of independence. FALN were nothing but a bunch of Communists. It's obvious why in the 1970's, during the heat of the Cold War, the U.S. used any means available including the sedition to combat them.

See my post below addressing your false claims analogizing FALN to the American Revolution.

By your standards, ANY one or ANY group that commits violence in the name of independence or a "justified" political cause is to be accepted. Why haven't you expressed support for ISIS and Al Qaeda? I'm thinking  your protests have more to do with your own Marxist politics than any other reason.

You really are becoming frantic with that "Britain didn't endorse it" misdirection attempt. Obviously your version makes no sense. The American Colonies endorsed the American Revolution, in writing on July 4, 1776. Maybe you need to look that one up. Maybe they didn't teach that in the People's Republic of your educational neighborhood.

The PR people were given several chances to voice their opinion regarding statehood AND independence, beginning in 1967. Only 0.6% voted for independence in 1967. That was right before FALN started their criminal rampage, ALL in the name of independence that ALMOST NO ONE IN PR WANTED. Repeatedly they in PR have voted it down. Whether you or anyone else considers the votes "legal" is irrelevant to the larger point. Your story keeps changing, although not surprising.

Your conflation of FALN with the American revolution is the act of a desperate Marxist, which by the way, you have failed to deny, TWICE.

About Puerto Rico's struggles over the last 150 years to either become sovereign, or a state or anything other than a US territory.   In 2012, that last referendum, the majority voted to end territorial status.  60% wanted statehood and 33% wanted sovereign status, much like Canada is part of the United Kingdom, but still a separate country.  And yes only 6% wanted pure independence, but that is because much of the independence movement rolled into the sovereignty movement.  Incidentally, the popular name for the sovereignty people is "Independista".

There will be a yet another referendum in about three weeks.  We shall see how they vote then, but it is widely predicted that the vote for statehood will be significantly less and sovereignty greater because of the huge unpopularity of President Dumbass there.  So that will be another embarrassment for Trump.

As you correctly point out this movement towards independence and not statehood really took hold after the populist commonwealth movement that FALN was a part of and which certainly had an affect on PR political thought.

And I certainly don't need to admit or deny anything to you.  Your statement to that effect is simply stupid.

Now you've switched to the 2012 and upcoming vote and seem to give these criminals all the credit for changing people's minds, thus justifying their crimes.
