Yesterday's storm (large tornado actually) wiped us out here. One third of the large trees in my neighborhood (and much of the city's trees) are toppled, telephone/power poles snapped. I lost my deck to a large oak tree that narrowly missed the house. I do not think power will be restored for two to four weeks.

Well, I have to go enlarge my carbon footprint by running the portable generator I am fortunate enough to own.

Sorry to hear that. Was anyone in your house injured? We have those things down here too quite frequently. I saw one come within 200 feet of my house almost 5 years ago. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
