"If someone dies in a house fire, does purgatory still apply?"

Thoughts, please.

1. When did Mass start including a question and answer period?

2. You're lucky there were no nuns around, or you would have had your knuckles wrapped with a ruler for asking such a stupid question!

3 . If you really did ask such a stupid question, you did so just for attention seeking! Perhaps, much like you're doing right now!

I ask questions because I'm not dumb enough to be spoon fed the dumbest idea in history of mankind = religion.

I've heard of a club that had three levels . . . the second floor being "heaven", the first floor being "purgatory" and the basement being "hell". I thought that was a pretty neat concept.

The strippers were so ugly he couldn't drink them pretty.

Oh I get it. You are the reincarnation of Henny Youngman.  "Take my Christ...  Please!"

Nice one though.

Mine :  If a person drowns during his baptism, does that still count?

I guess you didn't like being proven a liar with the post/s that you had taken down.

What happened to "self righteous" oh self righteous one?

Guess you heard from your buddies!

But, you're wrong, once again I might add!

It was taken down because: "Reason: Your post is considered innapropriate due to being negative, trouble making, rude, and/or slanderous. Contact the moderator for details."

Is there a joke or pun or something in there?
.
If you had asked them, "Is your god so powerful that he can create a candle that even he cannot extinguish?" (and other versions of the same paradox), I can see them getting annoyed, but I think that question comes up in Catechism 101 and again in Popular Sermon Q&As 211.
.
I don't think that cause of death has much bearing on where believers think the final deposition of the soul will occur.  "Did Otzi, who spent time frozen in a glacier, avoid hell? Or did hell freeze over, with him in it?"
.
If you were kicked out, I don't think it was because you asked that question, I think it was because you asked a dumb question and they wanted you to leave, come up with a better one, and return.

to believe a physical purgatory exists.  I believe people have the capability to be self-aware, that makes us different from some animals.  Being self-aware, we create with our thoughts heaven, purgatory or hell.  We have the unique ability to change our thoughts and change our life.

Just in case we only live one life, I will make the best of my time here.
