Actually I don't worry much about the fat little fucker living here in the USA at a very safe distance from the demented little fucktard. Now if I were living in Japan, or Taiwan, or especially in S Korea, I would be very nervous indeed. Especially with the current "appeaser in Charge" living in the White House. Would you be willing to bet you life that the present US administrtation would step in if NK were to attack one of it's neighbors?

Yeah, I got your email. You called it last night. There I am yelling at the TV for UM to fucking foul faster in the last 2 minutes. They wasted too much time. Not sure if it would have made a difference.

Money aside, it was a great game, UL put themselves into and dug themselves out of a hole once again, and made for a very exciting Championship game.

You are dumber then I thought. Let me try this in simpleton mode.

Laffy has a house.

One day Big Bad Wolf bribes the phone carrier so he can't speak to his mommy. Then he bribes the mailman to not deliver Laffy's welfare checks. He can't get a pizza delivery because the delivery boy has been paid off too.

Now, Laffy has a neighbor and they both hate each other, but Laffy's neighbor is in a wheelchair. So Big Bad Wolf arms his neighbor to the teeth and economic aid.
Big Bad Wolf takes it a step further and pays off Laffy's other neighbors so they leave Laffy alone and will not trade marbles with him. Big Bad Wolf spends a lot of money on mouthpieces to spread rumors and fear monger.
Laffy begins to starve and so do all of his pet gerbils. Laffy resorts to huddling in a corner with a grenade in his hand threatening to throw it over the fence if Big Bad Wolf continues his aggression.

I think you got the hint, but lets start with Bush. He started the axis of evil propaganda with his corporate media machine happily lapping up his footprints. Obama is no better, no worse then Bush and is a puppet from similar mold, but same objectives only the media goes a step further and licks his ass.

The noose around NK's neck has been tightening for years. Are you too stupid to see that? I can't blame them for escalating their nuclear program because our occupation of Iraq and Afghanistan have to end sometime soon. NK does not want to be the next Iraq.

Agression does not have to be Big Bad Wolf punching Laffy in the nose. Starving Laffy takes longer, but also sets him up for a coup de grace .

so I might have dip my gambling toes into baseball. Right now, I'm looking at the Masters golf tournament. I like Kuchar, Snedeker, Mahan and Bradley. It's tough to bet and win on golf, except for the obvious. Attending the Masters is definitely on my bucket list. Oh shit, I think mari is now going to educate us on Augusta's culinary delights, in a gay way. If he said, "to die for" in the South, would we ever hear from him again? (lol)

Back to North Korea. I wouldn't mind them blowing something up. It's for selfish reasons really. Way too much complacency in the market right now. I realize the Fed is propping up the market, but 88K jobs in March, the Market doesn't give a shit.

So if not North Korea, then where are the proletariat masses in Europe. Aren't they still pissed at austerity? I need to make some money, and going short is fast and effective. I need a geopolitical event.

The question is how do you do it. Short of war, the only answer I can come up with is sitting down with the Chinese and asking them what they want. Do you facilitate the handover of disputed islands? Give them a little more hegemony in Asia/Pacific? Everybody's got a price, and only the Chinese can make this happen.

But do you really think the South Koreans want to integrate 20M or so dysfunctional cousins?

was just who were those "freedom fighters" that we ended up supporting, and how did the get the substantial arsenal of weapons they already had before we got involved? Those weapons didn't just appear out of a vacuum, of course after the fact it's clear that they were just another group of American hating radical Muslims, but no one was even asking the question back them. I was, but that doesn't count.

So once again, we end up with something worse than when we started.

BTW how stupid is Daffy to think that I am going to respond to his post? You'd think after over a year he'd get the message that I only talk "about" him not "to" him.

The French didn't get everything they wanted, but they did get rid of Quadaffi, and there's been no more talk about cutting off their oil, and once again we don't even get a kiss, or even a good bottle of Chateau Lafite.

The Chinese are the "axe" where it comes to North Korea, and most everything to do with that part of the world.

Our biggest concern is our allies and trading partners in that part of the world, namely S Korea, Japan, and Taiwan, not to mention all the other countries in the region. How safe do you think the Japanese feel with a lunatic off their shore who's missles could reach them in about twenty minutes?

That's the point I was waiting to make to Panthera. Kim can't and won't do shit to us, and we could vaporize his little country in an instant, but that's not what's important here. We have a huge investment in that part of the world and like it or not, our allies look to us for leadership and protection.

My point about Kerry was that he wanted unilateral talks with N Korea, while Bush insisted rightly that all talks with NK would be done with the Chinese, Japanese et al involved as well. Truth be told Clinton is the one who set the North Koreans on the road to getting a nuke, but that ship sailed long ago.

The sanctions cost money, US taxpayer money funds the bribes and inequitable trade practices so we doubly lose. Then of course we fund most all of the arms to NK's "enemies" and bases at a huge expense.

We get along fairly well with China. Why? Because China can defend themselves. Being able to adequately defend your homeland is security. We can't just go to China and occupy them because it can't be done without us half leveling each other. The schoolyard bully will not pick on someone his size or bigger.

Back to NK. They have a right to have nukes just as we do. Why does everyone think that NK is always run by madmen? Who have they invaded in recent times? The propaganda is out of control, and NK is trying to one up because they lack the resources that we do.
I say let them have their nukes. What are they going to have, one or two, a few? Well, we have hundreds. They will spit shine them and parade them around, but to use them for aggressive purposes simply won't happen.

NK and SK will reunite some day. We just need to stay the fuck out of their way, and stop policing and strangling them. We don't really have to open trade agreements, but we should mind our own business. We are falling apart from within and we need to fix our own house before we demolish anothers.

If you are going to bet baseball, you might wait until the Mets fifth starter Aaron Laffey gets his next start. As pitiful as his namesake Laffey got touched up for 10 his and was lucky to only give up three runs before getting bounced after 4 1/3 innings.

Most likely he will get his next start in Minnesota. The Twins despite getting off to a 4-3 start really aren't that good, so you should get some value on the bet. Laffey is not officially part of the starting rotation so it's not certain when he'll get his next start, but with Marcum still out it should be soon.

Go Twins!!! Fuck Daffy!!! rofl

I want a legal opinion before I commit.

but I have to also say "Wow" to Panthera's post.

Hundreds of millions of Japanese, Koreans (both north and south) Taiwanese et al would agree as well.

I don't believe in good and evil like the Bible thumpers do, but if there is still such a thing as an "evil" regime in this world, it would be North Korea. Our sanctions have nothing to do with the strife in NK, they have only to look to their own government for what's wrong with that country.

Yes, their government has been brutal even to their own people, but so are the Saudis and a few other Islamic nations but they have oil, so that's not so bad (in jest).

So, please don't think that I am a sympathizer with NK. I am just bringing a different perspective and opinions that a lot of people will disagree with.

I keep bringing us back to our own house, GaG. We have been just as ruthless to our own over the years too, most of which is just concealed in top secret. No one is without skeletons.

BTW, don't you agree that the opinions that count the most are with NK, SK, Japan and Asia in general? Ours should not be the ultimate.

If you can find a site that does "live wagering" golf can be fun, the line changes every hole. The problem is finding a site with enough action to make it worthwhile.

As for me, I have plenty of action between Hockey and baseball, although I won't watch hockey, even the games I have bets on. I'll take the money though, I won about six grand on hockey last week. I had a litte $100 four team round robin by threes, all four came in and a little $400 bet paid five grand and change. I didn't even watch the games and had no idea I had won until the next morning

What you seem to forget is that the other people in asia are the ones most afraid of this lunatic, and rightly so.

If we were to simply "mind our own business" it would be those very countries that would be crying how we abandoned them, and rightly so.

That is what GWB understood that Kerry did not, and that why we would only negotiate with NK as part of group of countries including the Chinese, SK etc. So our opinion is not the ultimate, and if we don't step up for our allies, they may not be our allies for long.

That the other people in Asia can't take care of themselves and negotiate without us? We are policing the world and causing more conflict then problem solving. SK can't do anything without our permission and that needs to stop. We are making them dependent on us. Our own welfare state is proof positive that it is a failed policy.

I am all for defending our allies, but it is a difficult concept when we are the aggressors, agitators and part of the problem in the first place.

If I really thought that NK would nuke another country outside of self preservation, I would not be so nonchalant about this. I don't think they are as crazy as the media and our government want us to think.

...which is why he's doing this shit.

Quite frankly, I think we ought to play with him a little bit.

Here's the Willywonka plan:

We start spying on Little Kim for a while until we know his behavior patterns. Once we find a time when he's out in public, we send over 2 or 3 drones.

But we don't bomb him. Instead we drop a shit ton of marbles right in front of him, so that when he takes a step, he trips and falls.

That's where the 3rd drone comes into play. The 3rd drone will be equipped with a high definition camera with super zoom capabilities. It will record this event of Little Kim falling flat on his ass.

We then take the video and put it up on You Tube, and laugh ourselves sick.

When we get tired of laughing at the video, we then load a few more drones up with a couple banana creme pies.

In the pie we leave a message, written in Korean. The message says,

"Hi there Little Kim! This is America speaking! Guess what? We really like you! Yes, we really do! You're hilarious!

But guess what? Sometimes America has a short temper. It's a personal flaw, we know. But what you need to understand is that we can sometimes get very angry. And you don't want to see us when we're angry. Get the picture, little man?"

Then we load up 3 more drones. 1 equipped with our famous HD cameras, the 2nd with chocolate syrup, and the 3rd with feathers.....

I think he'll eventually get the picture.
