Told the crowd a person's mother was dead when she was sitting right behind him, told a guy to stand up and take a bow when he was sitting in front of him in a wheel chair.

Comey is such a pathetic dumbass he can't say that Trump tried to get him to drop the investigation. That would make him a felon by not saying something so Comey can only spin his wheels on Thursday.  

But then again when all you do is watch CNN and MSNBC while reading WAPO and NY Times I guess you don't get too much credible info.

The RNC has already told Trump and he agreed, that this is his only term.   He will not be the candidate in 2020, which will go to Ryan.  Depending on how badly he's screwed things up by the end of the year, he may resign early 2018 to allow republicans to hang on to a few seats.   That's the real strategy.
