The Trump backed Jeff Landry won the Louisiana governor's race getting more than the needed 50% of the vote in a crowded field of candidates. Landry got approx. 52% of the vote, next nearest was the Dem candidate with 26% of the vote. Had Landry not cracked 50% the race would be rerun with just the two top candidates.
