For pretty much the same reasons as you do. More electable, and I think he’ll do a better job of getting sound policies enacted than Trump did.

My vote would be for DeSantis. Trump has lost appeal from the moderates in the Republican Party. His antics during and following the 2020 election were over the top. I personally could not support him.

voting for DeSantis.  He comports himself in a much more presidential manner than Trump or Ted Cruz (the other one who might give it a go in 2024 if Trump's popularity fades by then).

The left created Trump as a politician. Obama got his feelings hurt over the birther movement and took it out on trump at the White House correspondents dinner, cause he could.

Then when trump announces no one takes him seriously and Hillary says AH HHAAAAAA I CAN DESTROY the Republicans running with Trump and then handily destroy him in the actual race.... and when that didn’t happen she sic,s the press on him in earnest!  

Next was comfy and the whole Russia Russia RUSSIA campaign to take out Trump followed by idiotic impeachment. Finally Covid comes along and somehow the WORST democratic candidate of them all, sleepy creepy stumbles and mumbles Joe Biden wins the nomination. 🙄 and somehow wins.  

The bottom line is Trump wasn’t my first choice at all but he was better than any dem put against him. Also he Ain’t a pussy (despite laffy’s mouth foaming and screaming)  and he is a force to be reckoned with. You in the left poked, then beat, then set on fire, then shot, the bear and ya know what? He didn’t die! You guys created this monster!  

Now I agree with GaGambler Desantis has a much more conventional approach to politics  and he does come off as much more presidential.

For all the Biden lovers.... you have to realize what an absolute bad choice he was. The bonfire of the vanities that he even thought he should run let alone use every string he could pull behind the political Scenes to defeat obviously better candidates is just astounding.

I think that the GQP is waiting and licking their chops that Trump will be indicted in next 6-9 months. Once Trump gets indicted, the animals become loose and I think looney GQP bench of Cotton, Hawley, Cruz, , Scott, Rubio, DeSantis and few other notable crazies will battle the moderate wing of GOP such as Romney, Sasse and Hogan. 3.5 years is a long time in politics but Biden will have a tough battle against any of the above except Cruz because Cruz is BADLY HATED even among GQP.  

 
If you look at Biden policies, he is continued some of Trump policy but he is staying low and not causing Chaos by opening his mouth or going on Twitters and he is being very smart about how he handle his presidency. Trump lost 2020 because of how handled Covid-19 and most importantly on how his filthy mouth on alienating college educated women and suburban women in big margin. In 2020 Trump even got bigger share of African American Vote from 2016 (Trump got 19% in 2020 versus 9% in 2016).  Exit poll numbers are FACTUAL and all exit polls point to that data set.

Trump biggest asset (ego) was also his worst asset (ego)-Trump lost because he self destructed and he will self destruct again in 2024. However the rest of GQP and GOP Candidates will know better on how to handle themselves. But I am somehow confident that Trump will be beaten BADLY against Biden or Kamala.
