There is a natural coalition out there for a new political movement. Take the pro-choice Republicans and the economically realistic Democrats and you have the core of a new party—the fiscally responsible Democrats and the socially progressive Republicans.
Lop off those who have no faith in government and those with a blind faith in government, and organize the remainder. Most Americans neither want to dramatically extend the power of the federal government, nor dismantle it. The center of American political opinion is ripe for conversion. The need is great—and the time is now!
Don't click on them, because the author is busy clicking on his own posts to beef up the reads. These are the kinds of people that belong to the existing 2 political groups.
But we need a party. Never mind a third party. We do not have a decent 1 or 2 political party.
What we need are the libertarian and moderate types to join the Republican party. Then we will destroy the socialist demon Democrats.
Freedom freedom freedom. We must have freedom. We must master the thoughts of Barry Goldwater, Ronald Reagan and Milton Friedman and William F. Buckley Jr.
and attend that party but Sun thru Thurs is the only time I can get away period. I'm missing that M&G thing this weekend and then I'm missing "The Big Smoke" the second weekend of Nov. Oh well, I haven't been to LV in 18 months so I'm glad I can at least get there periodd.
