His guest passes out and falls to the ground on TV and the host's first reaction is to go to another guest and try to keep the show going??? The woman could have had a stroke, an aneurysm, etc and might have been dead at the moment, but this clown thinks the best thing to do is act like nothing happened? Just another human being on Fox lying unconscious on the floor. Nothing to see here folks. smh

Good to find at least one lib here who’s not going to smear the victim with slanderous and untrue accusations.

The anchor you’re lambasting was a substitute anchor, tried to go on with the show until getting the cue from producers to cut to commercial, which was a matter of literal seconds.  I’m charitable enough to cut the guy some slack.

The support staff is suppose to help guests if they have a medical emergency, and the hosts are to keep going no matter what. There is likely FCC rules that govern this.

Back in 1999 the WWE (then WWF) had a wrestling pay per view where a wrestler, Owen Hart, was to descend from the balcony off a zip line as a ring entrance. The zip line malfunctioned and Owen Hart fell from the balcony and died from his injuries. The pay per view kept on going. The company got a lot of criticism for that, but the rule in wrestling is that no matter what, the show must go on. That rule got changed after that event, but it is a pretty universal rule in all of media. Dead air is always verboten. The show must go on.

And this isn't to defend the host. I don't even know who he is. But in these situations, you don't want lawsuits from a host not trained in medicine to injury someone further. So you always rely on the medical staff you have on hand.
