George Bush is a good man. Just like the Gipper. He beat the Soviet Union--SINGLE HANDED.. But when he was fighting them- Telling them that they were gonna be on the ash heap of failed ideas in history, you all were saying "Oh no!! He's gonna make them mad." "Ray Gun" is a dangerous cowboy. And then when we won, you all were going Oh Gorbey oh Gorbey OH GORBEY- squirt SQUIRT Squirt squi. gEEZ, I hope you all used bleach when you washed your underpants.
Is a far cry from being Ronald Reagan. We beat USSR by attrition, practically without firing a shot, which is the best way to win a war. Almost all wars are economic victories...whoever mobilizes industry best and outlasts the other wins...if you don't get all soft & mushy like we did in VietNam. Big Bush did it right in the Gulf war, and although there are a lot of Monday morning quarterbacks who think he should have gone in and finished the job, I think he made the right decision, or at least the best one he could make at the time. World opinion does matter, and it was on our side. That would have changed had he gone into Baghdad, and we would have the same situation we now have.
Reagan's best line ever was "Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall", and it was his idea alone to keep it in the speach, against all his advisors. That is his legacy. So far, little Bush's legacy is "mission accomplished". Those words will haunt him.
Im a Reaganite and proud Reagan republican. Please don't insult the legacy of one of the greatest leaders in US history by comparing him to an empty suit like Bush. Saying Bush is like Reagan is like saying Communism is the same as Democracy. As I have said before and will say again that Bush doesn't have the character and gravitas needed to carry Reagan's left nut. Reagan was the light of this shining city on a hill and Bush is nothing more than a vagabond of character.
Reagan has passed away so please let him rest in peace and don't torture and torment such a great soul by comparing him to Bush!!!!!
Reagan was the great communicator, Reagan had awesome confidence in the free market and in the triumph of good over evil. He may have been the only person who believed that the Soviet Union could be beaten and he did it. He set the proper course for and solved so many chronic problems. It was fantastic.
President Bush is not as great a communicator,BUT he's working on it and he doesn't have the confidence to go full throttle and be on offense instead of defense but he's working on that too. He is a good man though-like Reagan.
If you love Ronald Reagan, you'll vote for George Bush cause that's what Reagan would do. Reagan was one of the best. Right up there with Lincoln, Jefferson and Washington.
On what basis do you actually have the audacity to claim that Bush is WORTHY of carrying Reagan's jock strap?
Reagan WAS a uniter, not a divider, even while cutting programs, he could use the Bully Pulpit to garner consensus from the American Public, unlike Bush.
Reagan knew how to compromise with the political opposition to insure the success of his agenda, unlike Bush.
Reagan knew how to lead the nation toward fiscal responsibility, unlike Bush, who has led it in the opposite direction.
Reagan never took us to a war on false pretenses, unlike Bush.
Reagan had the damn the torpedoes attitude. He went right to the people with his message. He said we're gonna cut taxes and the congress was cowed into cutting taxes. He said we're gonna whup the Soviet Union. It was awesome when he said Ladies and gentlemen, we have just passed legislation outlawing the Soviet Union and bombing will start in 5 minutes. hehehehe The press peed in their pants. He had the Soviet Union shaking in their boots. All the Democrats and press were calling him stupid and dangerous. And the UN hated him to. Guess what. He was so confident that he didn't care. Reagan never worried about his legacy. Unlike Clinton and Carter who have spent years worrying about theirs.
Fiscal responsibility, you guys weren't calling his policies that when he was prez.
Reagan had Iran shaking in boots too. They knew he was gonna bitch slap them but good if they didn't let our people go immediately.
Bush has never hit the Democrats below the belt. He's always had the olive branch out. Oh yeah, I remembe Bush 1 giving a state of the union addres after gulf war 1 and the dems were just scowling at him. That's when the hatred started. and the dems started it. US republicans just fight back and we're accused of being dividers.
Reagan knew how to lead the nation toward fiscal responsibility, unlike Bush, who has led it in the opposite direction.
Correct if I'm wrong, but didn't Reagan and Bush I ring up more national debt in their 12 years than in the entire history of the US before them?
Reagan never took us to a war on false pretenses, unlike Bush.
Does Grenada ring a bell?
I would proudly defend the legacy of Reagan to anyone, anywhere, anytime, and on any issue. When he passesd away this nation's soul
was left with a void that may never be filled again. Frankly I can't even bring myself to dignify such a low insult on a leader of Reagan's magnitude. If Bush and the modern day GOP are the bearers of Reagan's legacy then Saddam, Kim Jung Il, and the Ayatollah are the greatest champions of humanity and human rights!!!!!
To put Bush or the modern day corrupt cronie republiCONS of todays GOP in the same category as Reagan is contemptible, disgusting, repulsive, an intellectual crime, and simply the assassination of Reagan!!!!!
If that job was good enough for the Senior Shrub (he did it for 8 years), then it would've been just as good enough for the Junior Shrub.

make Bush into one. The problem with these completely missed metaphors is that the person you are trying to prop up falls so woefully short that he looks as ridiculous and inadequate in the comparisons as Dukakis did wearing a pith helmet in a tank.
He wanted to experience landing on an aircraft carrier so what. Kerry on the other hand is nuts. His Cambodia Rambo fantasy stories can't be ignored. He's been telling these fantasy stories for years. If this guy gets elected president, we're in big trouble. He'll give our sovereignty to the UN. He's gonna get us all killed.
I've got an idea - Take his ass to Iraq, as a soldier, so he can also experience what a REAL life war is like. Not sure how handy his GI Joe with the Kung-Fu grip will be, but it would be fun to find out.
BTW, Geezer, KERRY IS A GOOD MAN - YEAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH !!!!!
(Sorry, I just wanted to see what crack with viagra felt like).

Or was this just another of his long list of "how great I was" lies?
BTW, Kerry is a lying, traitorous, opportunistic piece of dog shit! Ask any Vietnam Vet that isn't on the DNC's payroll!
... as long as your favorite yellow-bellied, malappropic, gerbil-brained, lying sack of shit gets the White House for another four years. Keep going! The US isn't a failed state, yet.
And if it ever is, not to worry, the apocolypse is coming, right Bribite? It seems to me, the worse Bush fucks up, the more you praise him for bringing the rapture just a little closer.
