Somehow, this had to make sense to someone in authority. Instead of allowing the pilots that we entrust our lives to on evey flight, most of whom have previous military service, the right to carry firearms to protect themselves, and by extension, protecet us. No, some government genius decided we should treat the dame pilots are potential criminals as well.

Doesn't anyone in government get the irony of the whole idea? The pilot is already in control of the fucking airplane. What is he going to do, hijack himself with a pair of fingernail clippers?  I would laugh my ass of if it weren't such a serious subject.

What's even worse is that the law and order crowd (right wing idiots) actually support this type of thing and the "nanny state supporters" ie left wing idiots want the same people responsible for this idiocy to run virtually every part of our lives.

Put a cheap patch or badge indicating ANY authority on Homo sapiens and usurping, bullying abuse of power will soon follow.
