So while it MAY be true he'll be re-elected, saying he's "a virtual lock" is quite an overstatement.

Over the last 8 months, he has averaged between 40-45%, and that is with the overwhelming majority of the polls NOT using the "likely voter" screen. Today, at approx 45%, and factoring in the LV screen, he is virtually identical to election day 2016.
It doesn't matter that LOTS of people cant stand him and would never vote for him. LOTS of people couldn't stand him in November of 2016, over 60 million of them, so what did that mean? Doodly squat, that's what.
