The Pelosi/Schumer power center in Washington does not want to get shut out by upcoming Kamala Harris.   They expect Biden and his soon to be replacement to be at their beck and call.   They see Kamala as a potential 12 year occupant of the White House, shutting out everyone else.  And essentially being the center of Democrat politics for the next 20+ years.

They won't be telling Kamala what to do, she'll be telling them what to do.

That's why Pelosi and crew were pushing Karen Bass -- a nice pliable candidate.  But Bass was exposed as a Scientology nut, so Biden, who said he was going to announce his VP by Aug 1 suddenly had to postpone the announcement, first one week and then two weeks.

The daggers are out for Kamala at the highest levels of the Democrat party.  Biden is not bucking them, but the candidate they foisted on him fluttered out.  They are now selecting the next puppet.

Looks like if Pelosi et al have their way, Kamala will NOT be the VP pick.  Although I guess it is up to Jill Biden -- until the Democrats dump Joe's body suit, Jill is calling the shots at the moment.
