Tuesday's dismal performance by Hillary has tied the hands (vote) of Super Delegates. Baring a meltdown, or yet another skeleton being revealed, Super Delegates are afraid of alienating the African-American vote.

Fast forward to the general election. What will happen if Obama looses? Let's assume that McCain runs a clean campaign that attacks Obama on substantive issues and not on race.

Will the African-Americans be gracious in the loss, or will there be a backlash?

If there is a backlash will it be divisive politics ratcheted up a level or two?

Or will there be protests against the white man?

Will some protests get violent?

It seems like people have forgotten how to be civil in victory and defeat. When 90% of one group is offended, that can lead to a lot of inappropriate reactions.

McCain won't attack on race.  He knows it's got too much risk.

But he's got (and sought) the endorsement of many folks who have no such good sense.   Frankly, I think it would be legit to question his good judgment when some of the televangelists or other assholes open the race issue.  

There's a couple of levels here.  1st is the behind the scenes organized PACs, like the Swiftboaters, who could have been shut down in a minute if the RNC wanted.  McCain will probably not permit that.

But there is the low level prairie fire shit that can't be controlled, and that is going to happen.  We've SEEN it happen, and it WILL happen on both sides.

The question is whether it stays low enough that it can be controlled by leaders, or if it really splits things open.

I don't think it will split anything open, because there will always be assholes, and I don't think that McCain will run a dirty campaign.  He may Immelman around the countryside, he may be to the right of Attila the Hun, but I don't think he'll run a dirty campaign.

I don't think we need to digress into whether McCain can or will run a racially clean campaign.

You can argue that a racially charged campaign could provoke a responses, but I am wondering if there would be an inappropriate response assuming that McCain, and his supporters, run a racially clean campaign.

and that includes any controlled PACs.

I also know that there are elements that cannot be controlled, and there will be racial shit slung around, as sure as the sun rises.

It's been an on-again off-again feature of American politics for 500 years, so it won't stop now.

I think the Jesus folk will bring out the mark of Cain shit, and they will push it.

REv Wright will be an issue as Obama said it is one and it  has to do with judgement.
Howard Dean will try to say it is race but it will not matter.
Obama will use race he already has and if MAC starts losing he will go all out .

The problem is that AA's truely believe that they are owed this one, and everything else they fight for.  Look what happened with the LA riots that was touched off by an upstanding citizen like Rodney King.  How many riots were started because a white man got shafted by the system?  Remember that one?  How is it that 13% of the US population has instilled a feeling of fear among the masses?  Isn't that the definition of terrorism?  
BTW, isn't it enough to have a whole public network devoted solely to AA's (BET)?  Imagine if the white man created a network called WET?  
AA's should just get in line with all the other minorities that work their asses off to get ahead in this White nation.

Since March when the Rev. Wrong Wright story broke Obama has not won the popular vote.

Obambi cannot win because most of his primary wins are caucus states which traditionally republican. All of his primary election wins are in states in which African American democratic voters are 30% or more. NC, SC, Mississippi and GA  have not gone Democrat since 1964, don't think it is going to change in 2008.

When you look at the electoral maps, Obambi wins in cities and looses all rural areas. Combine that with Republicans, Conservative Democrats, Center leaning Independents, numbers doesn't add up.

Backers of Clinton ~39% have stated they will not vote for Obambi. Even if McCain gets half of 39%, it negates the 90% AA vote for Obambi.

IMHO, Obambi will loose Ohio and PA (especially PA), won't win Florida, heavy older population and Hispanic population Southern Florida combined with very popular Republican Governor.

He may even loose Massachusetts  because Deval Patrick, his bosom buddy is very unpopular.

No sane person that is not imbibing Hope-Change-Inspiration-Obambi Kool-Aid believes Obambi can win.
