What kind of an election is this when over 90% of the blacks vote for this guy SIMPLY because he is BLACK. This makes me wonder if blacks are even capable of making educated choices, or are they so blinded by the race issue that it doesn't matter if this was OJ Simpson. I'm not saying that Obama is OJ, but the injustice stinks just the same. This type of discrimination is worse than blatant ones that whites have dished out over the years; at least they were up front about it.
Also, what kind of president sticks around a fanatic like Wright for so long, and what other type of choices will he make as president when selecting cabinet members, supreme court nominations, advisors, etc... Will he fill these important positions with fanatic friends like Wright? This is an election for the President of the United States, leader of the free world. They are both saying what "will" happen as if it's preordained. Personally I think Obama "would" make the worst president ever, or at least since Carter, but I don't think that he will actually get elected.
The dummycrats are going to selfdestruct again, and for that I am more relieved than I am elated. A McCain presidency is not something to be celebrated, avoiding an Obama presidency is something to be thankful for.
I think the bureaucracy has a lot of inertia, but can be disrupted (or ignored, as we see with GW).
I think it will be a tossup - with the major issues being, which are we most worried about, black folks, or the war/economy? I don't think the conclusion is foreordained.
I think that it's obviously insane to be talking about experience and character, particularly from people who voted for GW. These are the last people who could guess those issues. What they are doing is voting for the fellow who talks most like them, and if they are blowhards, they're gonna elect a blowhard.
I do not like the fellows that ride the coattails of any of the candidates, but I note that McCains coattails are already established in DC, carrying out disastrous policies. IMHO, the primary difference between him and Clinton is that she is a menopausal nanny. I regard her as conservative in the classic sense, ie, 'business as usual' in most sectors. I would not be surprised to see VAWA extended to permit life imprisonment for any male who ever pissed off any female. Psychic assault, you know. It's not what you do, it's what they think you mean.
Obama is more of a wild card. I don't think he's going to be bringing any Black Panthers into govt, and people who claim he's going to be strapping bombs to kids are just showing their own insanity.
But I do think the people who recommend his cabinet are going to be chicago pols, and I would not be surprised to find some "sun people" loons in HHS.

As I have said MANY times, my support for Obama is limited to the assumption that he will delay or even derail the disastrous path we are on now. If he was smart, he might even hire the Clintons to do the bookkeeping - find somebody to get them laid, and who knows, things could be good.
What McCain and the GOP doesn't understand is that you can't always be fighting the last war. They aren't really looking for bin Laden or trying to limit terrorism - they're just keeping people busy with dramatics.

Obambi will have to attract significant portion of votes from Whites and Hispanics to win.
When you look at the demographics and the states Obambi has won, there is no way he can win with even 100% black support in November. Unfortunately electoral votes don't fall along the lines of primary votes. Blacks are 30% of democrats in some states like NC, SC, GA, etc., but in general election 30% falls significantly. NC, SC, and GA for example have not gone democrat in last 4 elections as far as I know. Unlikely to win Florida (heavy latino vote), Ohio, and PA (both are bitter states).
Few in Obambi campaign is posturing that he will win some of the Red states where he won in caucuses, don't think so. Being that said, McCain will have to take of the gloves and fight.
Obambi wins the nomination but will not get elected. Overwhelming 90% support of Blacks has sealed his loosing fate. It is going to be fun watching Obambi getting creamed in November.

Also, there were a couple special House elections recently; in Illinois (Hasert resigning) & Louisiana (where the Republican left to go work in private company), and the Democrats won both these run-offs in VERY heavily Republican districts...
